Good Morning all,

DP1, a belated Happy Birthday, your granddaughter is so cute.

I had a good sleep last night, I didn’t wake up until 6:45! I think the cooler weather is definitely helping. I have just got up, made a coffee and am going to sit down with my crochet, I am doing a scrapghan, a nice and easy granny square so that I don’t have to think and can fully relax while doing it.

As it is my 62nd birthday we will probably pop out to the local garden centre for a wander, it is months since I have visited, so it will be nice to see what they have ‘new’ in.

I also need to do my online grocery order ready for delivery tomorrow, I forgot all about doing it yesterday.

Nothing exciting happening here. Being Thursday it's kitchen and bathroom cleaning day. The weather looks as miserable as me but at least it's not raining. That's expected later.

After my bragging a few weeks ago the freezer is no longer tidy and organised. It's back to stuff rammed everywhere. Another sort out is on the agenda.

Morning all. Dull here today and we had some rain yesterday.

Today we are expecting DGS2 about 9am so I need to be up and ready. We'll probably go up into town for a coffee and he can help me do some things around the house. He starts at nursery next week and had a home visit from them yesterday so I'm sure I'll hear all about that.

Other then that I've kept my day free so will see what evolves.

Well my cut and colour never happened yesterday. Got a text early morning to say her dog wasn't well at all and she had an emergency vet appointment. Waiting to hear of an alternative date and how the poor doggy is!

Am really looking forward to meeting up with one of my old school friends who is on the same group as me on our school Faceache page. After 50 odd years I'm sure we'll have lots to talk about!

Morning again, the weather is a bit uncertain here, don't know which way it'll go.

Happy Birthday Peony, I hope you have a nice day. I think you're right about cooler nights helping sleep a bit. I'm a poor sleeper whatever the weather but I think I do sleep a little bit better when it's cooler.

Belated birthday wishes DP1, sorry they're belated.

My freezer is in a bad state as well TA, and it's all down to me. Sorry you're feeling low, it's a worrying time for you I know.

Not much happening today, a priority is finishing the card I've started for one of my Australian grandsons, so I'll crack into that.

Hope everyone has as good a day as they can. Thoughts to anyone who is sad or poorly.

Another day of not much happening though I have grocery shopping to do at some point.
The bath lift is installed though not tried out yet, and I had my hair cut though I’m starting to dislike having it longer but don’t want to it short (I don’t think there is a solution to that one!).
No other news but hope everyone enjoys their day.

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. Happy belated birthday @dp1, what a load of joy your little one is. Happy birthday for today @peony40, hope you enjoy your day with some cake.

Today I have to wait in for a delivery of Indian meals from Aktar at home, it's a day late so my fingers are crossed that it's still frozen! It's down to the rubbish courier really. My freezer has had a clear out already in anticipation of this delivery (only three meals but it was packed).

Think I'll take the venison loin fillet out, defrost, cook and refreeze, it's just too big to eat and facing it for five days on the trot is not appetising. Maybe I can cut it whilst still frozen - I'll experiment! Also read a recipe for banana ice-cream made with only brown fruit and water or milk. I've got three bananas in the freezer so will try that too.

Happy birthday Peony, enjoy your trip out. A belated happy birthday dp1, how sweet of your dgd, memories to treasure.

It's looking very dull outside, but it's not raining. Yesterday I did my shopping trip in what turned out to be the only dry couple of hours in the day. Of course I got more than I needed, so a sort out of the freezer is on the cards today.

Today will be spent catching up with laundry, and a bathroom clean is on the cards. Southern fried chicken, corn on the cob and coleslaw tonight, unless DH changes it.

Morning everyone, thanks for the birthday wishes and happy birthday Peony. Back to work for me today, the start of my 24th year at nursery. I'm not really looking forward to it, for the first time in all those years, just hoping all the changes our new manager is making work out better than I think they will. She has some strange ideas.

It's fine here so I'm going to try to get the last bit of the summerhouse painted before I go. DD just texted to say little one is away to school very excited to be in year 3…she's been in the same classroom for reception and years 1 and 2 so is happy to be moving to the 'big class.' She will be there for 2 years as the year 4s are in there too. I just wish she didn't have to get the casts on her legs next week.

Food delivery has been delayed so I've written to complain, it won't be frozen tomorrow! DHL really are rubbish. 💩

I've been using my rage productively by clearing out the car boot - what a load of stuff there is in there, shocking really. I've now got three bags to sort through, mostly with unwanted items.
