Correct the owner yesterday confirmed as follows so all those past 'wrong but correct answers stand.

Hi everyone, I’ve been reading through the comments and I can see why there has been some frustration with the multiple possible answers on some of the puzzles.

The original intention was for each puzzle to have a specific answer in mind, but I accept that in a word puzzle like this, there can sometimes be other perfectly valid answers that complete both sides of the connection. Asking you to somehow know which one I had chosen does not really make for a fair or enjoyable challenge.

So, to keep things simple and fair for everyone, I’m changing the rule for Autumn Connections from now on. If your answer correctly completes both sides of the puzzle and creates valid words, I will accept it as correct and you will receive the 2 entries. You are also welcome to include multiple answers if you have found more than one possibility.

I’ll also apply this to the previous submissions where there have been genuine alternative answers, so nobody is disadvantaged by the clarification coming part way through the month.

Sorry for the confusion, and thank you to everyone who raised it. The aim of these games is to have a bit of fun, not to leave you wondering whether you have found the right answer to the answer I was thinking of!
