Over the 6 year BR rule and still no overdraft facility

Hello

I'm well over the 6 year BR rule and still cannot get even a low overdraft.

I checked my credit file and it is clear.

Don't really need it but it is a good safety net sometimes, but still can't get one.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Are you still using a basic bank account that doesn't offer the facility?

  • No I have a standard current account. I have switched many times and still the same problem.

If you do not need it then avoid having one. Not only is it one of most risky ways to borrow it is also one of the most expensive. An emergency fund should be your "safety net", not borrowing.
