Oh excellent sweet potato harvest there! Well done!
Good planning too for upcoming birthday spendiness - and as you say a degree of planning ahead can often make it easier to avoid costs escalating above the budgeted level can't it. I need to get a proper list put together of everything we have planned coming up and where it's being funded from - currently an awful lot of it is in our heads!

It was, although unless it's a super-hot year, they should be in the greenhouse (so not a problem for me this year, or for you, generally!). That was the haul from one plant, so fairly prolific. It took up a lot of space though - the vines are also very prolific. But really all it wanted was heat and a good drink - as it was a novelty, I was very careful to give it a whole watering can whenever I was watering, and I think it liked that!

Morning all,
@EssexHebridean, yup, but you know what they say about best-laid plans… Had a great day on Saturday playing hide and seek and ended up at Battersea Dishoom… which we didn't realise wasn't on the Amex Dining Credit list until we were seated in the restaurant 😭 (only 5 of them were). So what was meant to be a free meal was actually £100 (for our half!). And frankly, not that great - the food was lovely but the service was very poor (and of course there was a £20 service charge added to the bill that you can hardly quibble with the server). The waitress started to remove our plates before BIL had finished (and then proceeded to stack everything in front of me - which is also really rude in my book), we waited ages for drinks and there was a general sense that she'd like our table back (we didn't have to ask for the bill, it was just brought straight over after desserts were cleared). When you're in a restaurant that expensive, that's not good enough and I am going to write and complain and ask for the service charge back (and not in credit, either). We certainly won't be rushing back to that branch (and will be checking very carefully on Amex before we go again!).
Sunday was a very quiet day - I didn't feel great, but did make it to the gym. We had hm pizza for lunch, using entirely hg toppings (bar the cheese) - the passata was stuff I'd made from hg tomatoes and garlic, with red onion and jalepenos (which were very hot!).
Fortunately main client has more work for me this week, so I've been cracking on with that yesterday and today, as well as going to classes at the gym yesterday and spending some time at the allotment - picked the last of the beans and put their poles away, picked half the leeks.
I have a carefully curated supermarket delivery coming tomorrow, but also popped to Sains to buy tofu (cheaper than delivery). Have R'ford coming on Thursday too, but then I think we're sorted for at least a couple of weeks (bar milk). I've done a meal plan up until Friday week, using what we have, homegrown stuff (squash and sweet potato particularly) and what I've ordered.
MS things:
* Our water bill arrived this morning and they're reducing our dd by £4/month
