Lidl - middle aisle (non food)

Hello, I have saw some back to Uni stuff in the magazine. It says the offer starts this Sunday.

I don't normally visit the middle aisles in here, does anyone know if the non food offers go out early or am I safe to visit on the Sunday morning?

I am worried they sell out quickly as it's a small store and the only one around these parts.

Many thanks….

They should be out by 10am if not ask staff they should fetch what you want from out back of the store.

sometimes things are out the night before. it depends on the store. I've seen Thursday offerings out at about 5 pm on a Wednesday. Whether you get your stuff or not might depend on what you are after. Local shops here sometimes put restrictions…nothing sold before 9 am on the day and only 1 per customer etc.

Lidl stores open at 09:30 on a Sunday for 30 minutes of browsing. No purchases can be made by law until 10.00am. Last Sunday they had Microwaves, Mixers and pans.

By the time we started to queue up for a till at 09:50 half a dozen people had trollies with the above items and various on going conversations about which Universities people were going to.

If you thinks its likely a popular item, get to the store around 09:15 and join the queue to get what you require.

@Largs - stock is finite and demand for the best stuff is high, so get there early. You snooze, you lose!

Amazing how many times I have gone to a Lidl store at 10.00a.m. for something I really wanted, and it was not in stock as it was not on the delivery.
I usually got the items a few days later.

That does happen here too (ALDI and Lidl) and even putting your store/postcode into the site to get specific stock for your store doesn't always give a correct response. Very frustrating when that happens … sometimes the item doesn't turn up at all and I just write it off, hoping they will repeat the offer.

I do check the ALDI/LIDL sites for the specific offers every Wednesday/Saturday night for the Thursday/Sunday ahead to see if the middle aisle is calling this time … 😂

Yes this is also common at mine, so it's pot luck if you arrive on the same day as the item you want

I have to agree with the comments above, its down to distribution logistics. If it reaches the store it is in no ones interest to have it in the store!

Last year the Black Friday sales arrived at Aldi as soon as Halloween was over. I happened to be passing at 7:30am (rare for me) and parked for a little while ahead of store opening as there was a hairdryer I wanted. As I waited, a queue of customers and big trolleys was forming outside the door. When the store was open the stock was nowhere to be found…so we formed an orderly queue and asked the duty manager. He went into the storeroom and retrieved our requested items, which had only just been delivered. Its that kind of service that keeps us coming back.
