Plug - In Solar Prize Draw terms and conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully. By entering this prize draw (the

“Promotion”) you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them.

1. The Promoter

1.1 The Promoter is British Gas Services Limited / Centrica plc, registered in England and Wales, whose

registered office is Millstream, Maidenhead Road, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 5GD (“British Gas”, “we”,

“us”, “our”).

1.2 The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any social

media platform (including Facebook, Instagram, X or LinkedIn) on which it may be promoted.

2. Eligibility

2.1 The Promotion is open to residents of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) aged 18 or over at

the time of entry.

2.2 You do not need to be a British Gas customer to enter. Entry is open to everyone regardless of their

energy supplier.

2.3 Only one entry per person is permitted. Duplicate, automated, bulk or third-party entries will be

disqualified.

3. Promotion Period

3.1 The Promotion opens at 00:01 on 27 August 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 16 September 2026 (the

“Promotion Period”).

3.2 Any entries received before or after the Promotion Period will not be valid. We accept no

responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, incomplete or not received for any reason.

4. How to Enter

4.1 To enter, register your interest during the Promotion Period via the official online registration

webform https://www.britishgas.co.uk/energy/customer_lead.html

4.2 You must complete all mandatory fields and provide accurate, current and complete contact

details, as these will be used to select, contact and deliver prizes to winners. Registrations without a

phone number will not be entered into the prize draw, but will continue to receive updates on Plug-In

Solar.4.3 No purchase is necessary to enter. Registering interest does not oblige you to buy any product or

service, and does not guarantee availability of any product, SEG tariff or price.

5. The Prize

5.1 There will be 30 winners. Each winner will receive one (1) plug-in solar kit (up to 800W) (the “Prize”).

5.2 The Prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-exchangeable. There is no cash or other

alternative to the Prize in whole or in part, except that the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a Prize

of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary.

5.3 The Prize includes the plug-in solar kit only. It does not include installation, ongoing maintenance,

any electrical work, or any other associated costs. Winners are responsible for the safe installation and

use of the kit in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and all applicable UK safety and

regulatory requirements, including notifying their landlord and local Distribution Network Operator (a

G98 notification) where required.

5.4 The Promoter gives no warranty in relation to the Prize beyond any applicable statutory rights or

manufacturer’s warranty.

6. Winner Selection

6.1 Winners will be selected at random from all valid entries received during the Promotion Period.

6.2 The draw will take place on or around 17 September 2026 using a process that ensures a random

and fair selection.

7. Notification of Winners

7.1 Winners will be notified by telephone using the contact details provided at entry, between 17

September and 30 September 2026, to confirm their win and explain the next steps.

7.2 We will make reasonable attempts to contact each winner. If a winner cannot be reached, does not

respond, or is unable to accept the Prize within a reasonable period (to be specified at the time of

notification), or if any entry is found to be invalid, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that entry

and select an alternative winner at random.

7.3 The Promoter’s decision is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. Delivery of the Prize

8.1 Prizes will be delivered to valid winners in Great Britain between 1 October and 30 October 2026.

8.2 We will use reasonable efforts to deliver within this period, but delivery dates are estimates only and

are not guaranteed. Winners must be able to accept delivery.

8.3 We are not responsible for any loss, theft, damage or failed delivery of the Prize where this is caused

by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including where a winner provides incorrect orincomplete delivery details, is unavailable to accept delivery, or fails to follow any reasonable delivery

instructions provided.

9. Data Protection and Publicity

9.1 Personal data collected from entrants will be used solely in accordance with UK data protection law

(including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) for the purpose of administering the

Promotion and, where you have consented, keeping you informed about plug-in products. For details of

how we handle your personal data, please see the British Gas Privacy Policy.

9.2 By entering, winners agree that the Promoter may use their first name and county for the purpose of

announcing the results, and to comply with any legal or regulatory requirement to publish or make

available information about winners. Entrants may request that their details are limited by contacting the

Promoter.

10. General

10.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, suspend, cancel or withdraw the Promotion, or these

Terms, at any time where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, without

liability to entrants.

10.2 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms, tampers with

the entry process, or acts in a manner that is fraudulent, dishonest or otherwise unfair to other entrants.

10.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered as a result of

entering the Promotion or accepting or using the Prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by

law (including death or personal injury caused by the Promoter’s negligence).

10.4 This Promotion is intended to comply with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct &

Promotional Marketing (the CAP Code).

10.5 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the

exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales (or, for residents of Scotland, the Scottish

courts).

10.6 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will

continue in full force and effect.
