Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Lovely sunny day yesterday again, not so much this morning but it's dry and bright. Beans collected from the allotment and more picked - will they ever end?
Hope your shift at the CS went well Coxy.
Work was steady yesterday but lots of computer stuff so my head was spinning when I finished, glad I have a garden I can lose myself in for a while (it's not big so don't actually get lost!), will do some more tidying up later when I get home.
I was very tired last night and switched off the bedroom lamp at 9pm, slept a lot better than I have for the last few nights but was very warm.
Hoping everyone is well, take care. XX

Hi all
Thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons
Hoping for a peaceful day though our electricity is being switched off for a few hours hopefully that will stop the numerous off/on power cuts we have had, all of which seem to happen at 615am!
Yesterday finished up taking DM to the GP with a sore wrist which she failed to mention to the GP last week (no surprise there!). Anyway Dist Nurse team leader came in the morning - blew in like a hurricane, really funny and kind but no messing! Within 10 mins she's got DM to agree to make an appt - 5 mins later she offers to ring and make an appt for her. Only one Dr on and no appts but manages to sweet talk the GP into seeing her 30 mins later! It was a masterclass and so funny to observe. When I let her out I told her she'd achieved more in 25 mins than I had in 2 weeks! I’m still smirking about it now. Wrist is tendinitis so just needs ice and rest and painkillers.
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It promises to be quite a decent day today but from tomorrow it's all downhill, with rain and thunderstorms forecast for the foreseeable. Just in time for the BH weekend!
DD's appointment yesterday for the biopsy result went as expected but the op and further treatment is to be done at our more local hospital. That saves travelling to the big city although she will be back there once she can have the radiotherapy treatment. So she's now awaiting another appointment for the initial consultation before the op. It's all wait wait wait.
Up to press it's lunch with DF today but there may be a last minute cancellation as she is attempting to get through to the surgery re her DH's results which the hospital said were being sent to the GP. These are all the fast track procedures and test results. Just a pity the results are not fast tracked too!
Have a good day folks if you can and take care xx

Morning everyone
It's a dull start here, hopefully the sun will come our later as I need to finish painting my summerhouse. I've had the whole of the school holidays to get it done, but I've left it till the last week, it's just a clear waterproofing so easy to put on.
I've got someone from AO coming to look at my washing machine, I've only had it almost 2 weeks and discovered water is leaking into my cupboard under the sink. I phoned yesterday and they booked me in for this morning, can't complain at that! After lunch I'll go down to see mam and dad. Little one will be coming back at bedtime as we're going to the Life Centre at Newcastle tomorrow, they have a big dinosaur exhibition on.
Right best get on with this painting, hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
Yesterday was a really lovely day, not too hot and no wind. Today may be the same though it's down to be the last of the good days.
This morning I need some light shopping. I may have those friends of friends round so need biscuits and milk. Thank goodness the beans are finished, I over-estimated my taste for them and had opened two tins. Not doing that again!
My accountant sent through the paperwork for me to complete for SA so that will be the task for the next couple of days. Thankfully, I'm more organised this year after the debacle of last year so it should be relatively easier (watch this space).
Well done that nurse @AlwaysAllie. Computer stuff will filter in eventually @camelot1001, just take it all slowly.
Hugs to all. Have a good day.

After looking at the weather forecast last night it's all change with sun all day instead of cloud! My DS has persuaded me to go for a walk along a river which is about a 20 minute drive away, he said it was lovely and a nice change to have a view! It's beside a big pub so plenty of parking. Was a nice stroll but it such a busy drive to there that I don't think I'll go there too often. Doc has referred me for a scan as she thinks it's more rectal than bladder prolapse. I mentioned to her about walking instead of just exercise bike and she said do it for your core muscles, so I will!
Nothing else planned so hope you all have a good day x

Morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons.
Today should be dry, it's high cloud at the moment and then sunny intervals as the day goes on. It's breezy and we might get up to around 19 deg this afternoon. Wet for the rest of the week.
Nothing really happening today apart from the hairdresser soon. She was a bit scissor happy last time so it only needs a gentle tidy up and I shall be watching like a hawk to make sure not too much comes off! Tbf, I did appreciate having less hair while we had the hot weather so I shouldn't really complain. I'll call in at the shop on my way back for a couple of bits and bobs, then some baking when I get home. I feel a ginger cake may be in the offing. Tea tonight is corned beef, hash browns and baked beans.
@AlwaysAllie - Well done that District Nurse, she's worth her weight in gold.
@TA - Sorry to hear DD needs an op and more treatment, fingers crossed the wait isn't too long. I hope you and DF manage a lunch out today too.
Have the best day you can, take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.6
