Morning all
I have been to bed but only slept about 2.5 hours, I will be shattered later but it will be worth it once we get there.
Just waiting for the taxi to the airport luckily it’s only about an hour away so not far to travel.
Dinner tonight will be at a harbour side taverna on our beloved island, all being well.
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning, thanks Ruby. Have a lovely holiday, it'll be a nice break.
Can you rest a bit during the day Sue, you'll be tired.
It's a nice morning, I've just been out with the dog for a short walk. Only 5° at the moment but it'll warm up.
The hedge was cut yesterday and the freezer will be done today, so I can stop going on about them. I want to see exactly what I've got lurking in the freezer.
There 's not much going on here apart from dog walking and general house stuff.
Hope everyone has a good day. Thoughts to anyone who is not well.
Take care folks.

Good morning, have a lovely holiday Ruby.
A bright sunny start here, and looks to be the same all day, thankfully the nights are cooler. Rain is forecast for the end of the week.
Yesterday's pick up was easy. As*a sent me a text which I had to click on when in store and a colleague brought the goods down. I'm very pleased with them, mainly new bits for the bathroom. I had a mooch in the Cs and came away with 3 new to me books for £2. It was quite busy in there. Then I went to the PO. Now the postmaster in there has a reputation for being surly, and he didn't disappoint. I asked for a book of stamps and he looked at me as if it wasn't worth his time to sell them. I know there's been many complaints about him but he's still there. Anyway I got what I set out for.
Homemade (get me) steak and kidney pie for tea, either with roasties or mash and veg.
Have a good day all whatever you're doing. Take care.

Morning folks and thanks RUBY. You will be well on your way now. Enjoy!
It feels less cold than yesterday morning. We went to Sainsbobs early as DS had planned and I couldn't believe how cold it was outside, and once in the sm it felt even colder in the f & v and chiller aisles. I felt frozen to the bone by the time I got home. I had to be reminded that it was still August as I put the heating on to help me thaw out. Hopefully that was a one off and it won't go on again for a good while!
I got a few things for the freezer and despite feeling so cold I didn't just throw them in as I was tempted to do I put everything in the drawers and shelves where they belonged, even though I needed to rearrange them a bit. So still a tidy freezer! Brag brag!
I have no idea yet what's for lunch, I will have a ponder on what I fancy shortly. I have a bit of ironing to do as I like to keep on top of it but, other than that, I envisage a Sunday of Sloth, feet up reading or watching rubbish.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, stay safe x

Morning
Another one shocked by the drop in temperatures, though it’s nice not to be sweltering.
Did lots of cooking yesterday, for dinner, freezer left overs and tonight’s meal so that’ll save some time. I might try to run the mower over the grass today to pick up the dead leaves mainly.
I have some craft work to do and orders to parcel up so that’ll keep my busy too.
Enjoy your holiday Ruby, hope everyone else has a good dayAA

Morning All
Thanks for the start Ruby, hope you have a super holiday.
The sun is shining this morning, will do a white wash once I've been for a swim as the towel can go in too. Yesterday was quite nice, lots of sunny spells. The washing dried well and is all put away.
A big haul of green beans from the allotment, some in the freezer, some given away and some I seem to have left there so will try to get them back today. I also lifted all the onions so they are in the greenhouse to dry out. A bucket of potatoes to find homes for too. I made some courgette and potato soup which was very tasty. That will do for my lunches this week.
DD called round to collect a bike for the little one from my shed, it's a bit bigger than the one she has and I got it free from the tip, it has probably only been used a couple of times. DS looked it over when he was here and said it's all good.
Off to Perth this afternoon for youngest DGD's 2nd birthday party, I'm cadging a lift with DD and family so will get to spend some time with the little one too.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care. XX

Morning all - waving bon voyage to @RedRuby1231. I'm all shiny and bright with my first coffee.
Yesterday I used up some shreds of chicken with added chickpeas and some three bean salad with a dressing and feta. I'm not keen on beans generally but know that they are so good for the body so I'm experimenting with them. Actually, it wasn't unpleasant which is just as well as there's more for today. 😃 Whether I make it again is up for internal debate. I boiled six eggs and mashed them with some mayo for some quick breakfasts.
I'm slowly getting used to the smart watch, now that I've worked out how to re-orientate the wee crown to the other side I find I can operate it much easier. I suppose it's just a case of faffing with it to find out more. The data it records is fascinating, my GP will love it (probably more than me!).
My washing machine is whirring away with a white load, that means I'm hopeful that the grey morning turns warmer and the drizzle stops. So it's either hung outside or upstairs. After that's sorted I shall join @TravellingAbuela in a day of sloth.
I wish everyone a lovely Sunday whatever you're up to, or not. xx

Cool but sunny here. Shopping delivery put away.
Chilli and rice for dinner and then, now the footie season is back, a match or 2 on the TV.
Nothing else planned today so I'm off upstairs to do my 4kms on the exercise bike.
Have a good day all x
