Good morning Scarlet, thanks for starting.
Sunny outside, yesterday was a day of thunderstorms and heavy showers, the temperature was a comfortable 19degs. Showers are forecast for this afternoon. I should have guessed once I mopped the floors it would rain.
For once yesterday there was nothing to do once the usual chores were out of the way, so yesterday afternoon was spent watching Celebrity Masterchef on catch up. OH wasn't interested and took himself off to his man shed, but I told him he would have enjoyed seeing all the pies on there.
Nothing planned for today, DH is expecting a parcel to be delivered. Chunky fish fingers, chips and mushy peas for tea.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning again - it's fine but distinctly cool here.
Yesterday was ok, daughter brought their dog up, he's here till next Saturday. He has had a quick walk, Dh took him out, but I'll take him for a longer walk when I get myself organised.
I need to tidy the freezer today, I've been putting it off, but it'll have to be done. What usually happens is that I do it, then tell myself that it won't get into a mess again. If course, it does.
The front hedge needs cutting as well, Dh does it and I help tidy up. He used to do it all himself but since he had cancer treatment he hasn't got quite as much energy as he had before. Still, we'll do it between us.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to any one who is not well.
Take care folks.

Morning everyone
It feels cooler this morning, but it's forecast to stay dry so I'm taking little one to Lillidorei at Alnwick for the day, she loves it there. DD will drop her off soon and then we'll get the bus there, it takes about 45 minutes and is usually a double decker, which she also loves!
I went to see mam and dad yesterday, dad was in good spirits but mam was quiet…on Wednesday afternoon/evening she phoned me several times, shouting at me because she said she'd just found out I'd put her in a care home. A couple of times I had to just say I'll see you tomorrow and hang up because I had little one sitting next to me.
I went to the breast screening clinic yesterday afternoon, ours is a mobile unit in a supermarket car park and managed a lovely couple of hours sitting reading in my summer house. Eldest DD was on the phone excited as she goes back to Boston soon for work and she's added the weekend to spend in New York before she flies home.
Right best get moving, I've time to hoover before I go out. I have a pile of paperwork to fill in for another financial assessment for mam, I'll maybes sort it when I get home.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Nice sunny day here but rain due this afternoon, I have washing in the wm but it will have to go on the airer as I am out most of the day.
I have my nail appointment this morning and then back for a quick bit of lunch then out again with my sister to take mum to the respite home, I’m dreading dropping her off and leaving her there but I know it’s the safest thing for her while we are away.
Dinner tonight will be a takeaway we thought we would have a treat, there are some chicken thighs for Saturday night with some rice and veg but dd will need to do a shop Sunday for her bits.
At least I’m not having to water the garden atm which takes some time.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for kicking off. After a few mornings of gloom or rain today looks glorious. Wall to wall blue sky and sunshine but it doesn't feel overly warm. and there is a chance of showers later.
I had a much better sleep last night despite all the worries. It won't last! The plumber duly arrived to do the boiler service yesterday and we had a nice chat over a coffee first. He stopped doing big jobs a while back, just continuing with his regular boiler services, but health problems are now putting a stop to that and he is finally retiring. I shall miss him and our chats on putting the world to rights! Then DD called in for a chat before setting off for a week in the caravan but she will be to-ing and fro-ing for appointments. Priority being the Monday one for the result of the biopsy and what happens next. Her DP is going with her and I shall be a bag of nerves waiting for her update afterwards.
Today it's the usual Friday Tidy to keep me occupied. And I am now boasting about having a tidy freezer and it's kept that way since it was defrosted! I have been determined to stop being a messer upper! It's lovely being able to find what I am looking for without a rummage.! (For now at least!)
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or sad, Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Well I won't have to water the garden for a while. We had a big thunderstorm late afternoon yesterday and then early evening another lot of the wet stuff came down.
Feels cooler today and cloudy one minute and blue sky the next.
Back from food shopping and got a free pizza from my Sky app so that was good.
Nothing else planned so hope everyone has a good day x

Afternoon all.
We didn't get the torrential rain or storms that were predicted for yesterday but it did feel very chilly, both inside and outside. This morning has been bright and sunny, now clouding over with the possibility of some showers this afternoon, feeling cool again, but with the promise of slightly warmer temperatures to come.
Yesterday I finished off cleaning the kitchen tiles and grouting so this afternoon will mop the floor and tackle the usual Friday admin while that's drying. DS is still on the job search and has a telephone appointment with his work coach this afternoon for UC plus an in-person appointment at the job centre next week. One good bit of news though - he is due a tax rebate, just a small one, but any financial help is welcome. Food shopping yesterday was minimal and I'm hoping there'll be enough in the fridge/freezer and pantry to see us through till the end of the month - I'll have to put my frugal hat on. Tea tonight is lemon & herb fish fillets, oven chips and peas.
@dp1 - I'm sorry to hear your mam shouted at you, it must be very confusing for her. Good luck with those financial assessment papers. x
@Ruby - I can well understand how you must feel about taking your mum to the respite home so I'm glad your sister will be with you. x
@TA - Fingers crossed your DD's biopsy results bring good rather than bad news. x
That's it for now so I'll wish everyone a good day, take care all. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8
