Home Responsibilities Protection for late partner
My partner very recently passed away, he was on a reduced state pension, he had looked after the children when I went back to work.
I only realised just before he passed away that we had never completed the transfer of the HRP basically he became very unwell.
I spoke to HMRC asked lots of questions and was advised that it is too late once somebody is deceased. Does anyone know if this is true?
I have written and completed their CF411 and asked if any backdate can be paid to his Estate. Just looking for advice/ help

As I understand it the transfer of hrp credits after state pension age only applies to future pension payments.
It does not apply to previous years so there would be no payment of arrears.
