Morning @Gers morning all
Feels a bit fresher out there this morning weatherwise.
We had a clear out of glasses that we have too many of so am taking some of them to a charity shop this morning.
I've been thinking I've got the start of a prolapsed bladder and got the opoportunity to speak to a gynae nurse yesterday who contacts me once every year or so since I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago as they found cancer in a polyp in my womb and she suggested seeing a GP about it. I've got a phone call with one this morning so want to get back before he rings.
Apart from that I've got nothing planned for the rest of the day except raiding the freezer for something for dinner.
Have a good day all x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It looks a bit damp here as though we had a bit of overnight drizzle. Who knows what today will bring although it's looking a bit promising just now with some blue sky and sun.
I am meeting DF for lunch, brought forward from yesterday thanks to our hairdresser coming for us all. She was quite restrained with the scissors this time thankfully! If for any reason DF can't make it I shall have to ransack the freezer. But I still need to go down town anyway as I have meds to collect from B**ts, plus one or two other bits.
Have a good day folks if you can with the usual ((HUGS)) for our poorlies. CHRISCA I hope you get some help from your phone appt with the doctor. Take care all, be safe xx

Another few showers overnight I think, in fact when I went out at 1030pm with Bdog there were some drops of rain, I was so unused to it that I thought they were insects hitting me!
Have asked the District Nurse if she can come as early as possible and she will try for 10-1030ish and then can hopefully get DM out for a coffee at the local arboretum, if she feels up to it.Yesterday I managed all the upstairs inside windows and also cleaned as much as I could reach of the inner bits and hinges etc that are exposed when you open a window (they likely have an official name?). Very fiddly and not possible to see/reach them all. Will try some/all of the downstairs ones today.
Hope everyone enjoys their day

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope the rain clears away. It's not raining here at the moment but is very dark and overcast. I got to allotment 2 on my way home last night and picked 2 largish courgettes and some more green beans, I'll deal with them later!
I have an hospital appt this morning locally so it's not worth going into work then coming back again so am having a relaxing morning. I'll pop into the library on my way.
Well done on cleaning the windows Allie, hope you can get out with your DM.
Happy haircut TA, enjoy lunch out.
Hope you can get some help from the Doc Chrisca.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Good morning
Sunny here, but I heard rain overnight, and there's some spots on the windows. Chance of a shower around lunchtime.
Nothing planned for today, yesterday I did washing as it was pretty breezy and it dried in no time. I'll probably give the floors a mop, they don't get as dirty as in winter but a bit dusty with the dry weather. I got a tip off the Internet that said to use white vinegar instead of floor products and I must say it brings up the wooden flooring a treat, even if the house smells like a chippy!
Chicken kievs with chips and coleslaw tonight, I may stew some of the plums from the freezer for pudding, with ice cream.
@Chrisca50 hope you get some help from your phone call.
@AlwaysAllie hope you can get out with your DM
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning again - and the rain persists. I know that I should be grateful!
@Chrisca50 - I hope that the GP can help quickly. @camelot1001 - good luck at the hospital. @AlwaysAllie - the DNurses and carers always told me that the patients / clients who had diabetes or needed other early morning injections had to come first on the visiting list, hence the 'late' early start. Enjoy your lunch @TravellingAbuela.
I got a lot done yesterday including taking the clean bedding to the laundry for ironing. It's all been lingering in the car since the weekend, the woman did it immediately so it's now all lovely again.
This morning my cleaner is coming so I'll head up the big town once he arrives. I've two things to return to Marks though I don't need much shopping as I raided the freezer yesterday. I cooked the yummy Cranston's sausages which will give me lunch for a couple of days.
Take care all. Hugs to the poorlies and the sads. xx

Morning all
It’s raining! First time for months it was quite a shock to look out the window when I got up, there is a line of washing out which is now soaked so I will deal with that later. The gardens and grass need the rain though so I won’t moan.
Off to mums this morning and we have people coming for a meeting from the care home where she is going for respite, mum is quite anxious about going but understands it’s the safest thing while we are away.
Dogs to be walked later and I want to have a clean through, dd is off today so she will help.
Jacket spuds for dinner tonight with various fillings and salad, the fridge is looking quite bare as we are away from early Sunday morning, dd is having a shop delivered for her bits while we are away.
Camelot hope your appointment goes well xx
Chrisca I hope the Dr can help you xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning everyone
Sorry I've been missing, I haven't read back so I hope everyone is ok.
I had both children from Saturday afternoon till after tea on Monday, which was lovely. On Sunday afternoon I took them both down to see mam and dad then on Monday we had a musical event at the library, which little one loved then we went for lunch at her favourite cafe. She also got her medal and certificate for completing the summer reading challenge. Yesterday I was back down at the care home and then had a lazy afternoon with Sunday's paper. Also had a nice chat with eldest DD, who is now back home in Germany, but goes back to Boston for a week at the beginning of September. Oh and I had lunch with a friend who I haven't seen for ages, we've known each other since our eldest DDs were at nursery and now both have parents with dementia, care homes, etc.
I'm going shopping this morning , then the little ones are back again this afternoon.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Red Ruby I hope your mam likes the staff coming from the care home, hopefully she'll enjoy her time there x

Morning all, thanks @Gers.
This morning was a brighter start than the last couple of days but it's now looking cloudy and dull. Heavy showers are forecast for the middle of the day and we're under a yellow weather warning from 7 pm tonight for more heavy rain, thunderstorms and flooding possible. From one extreme to the other. 😕
Yesterday I raised a repair request with the council about my slow draining bathroom sink that seemed to be getting worse, despite my efforts at unblocking it. A couple of hours later there was a knock on the door - plumber! Job done and dusted. Now that's what I call excellent service. 😀 Wouldn't it be nice if all life's little problems could be solved so quickly.
Today I'll carry on with cleaning the kitchen wall tiles; the tiles themselves are easy enough - it's the grouting that takes time and effort - but I can see the difference so I'm eager to get it finished. I've caught up with the GBSB now; the middle re-use/recycle section is obviously designed to test the contestants' creativity but I'd happily do without that part. Tea tonight is melting middle fishcakes along with diced/fried leftover potatoes.
@Chrisca - Good luck with the GP phone call.
@camelot - Ditto with your hospital appointment.
@Ruby - Happy holidays, you'll enjoy your break and I hope your mum will enjoy hers too.
Right, tiles are a-calling so I'll wish everyone a good day, hugs where needed/wanted. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
