It's a bright start today,we actually had some proper rain yesterday, not just the light showers we've had previously.

I'm starting the day yawning my head off after a bad night, not a good way to start the day.

It's just a housework day today.

Thoughts to the sad and poorly, take care folks.

It was bright when I got up but its a fine, wet drizzle now. The rain yesterday afternoon and evening was relentless. If only there was some way to share it with you!

It was good to see all the children start the new term full of enthusiasm, they will be struggling by Thursday!

Morning all

Cloudy and windy out there but temperature is supposed to rise to 25 today. Doubt it will feel like it though.

Yes, really happy with our flooring @camelot1001 it's a nice warm colour and goes better with our furniture too.

We had to clear out a cabinet that has glasses and some drink bottles before the flooring was done. I didn't realise how many glasses we had so we've put about 20 aside to go the the charity shop as we really don't need all of these.

Some more housework today as there still seems to be dust settling even though I've cleaned up already. Apart from that nothing else planned.

morning everyone it’s still mild here but we have had proper rain during the night not just showers although we are due more throughout the week. Off out to a cleaning job soon shepherds pie for tonight it’s a while since we have had a cooked meal it’s all been easy light bits apart from Sundays .little dogs will be to walk later but other than that just pottering. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

I think we had 2 drops of rain, Thursday looks like the day for it to change - hopefully ! The garden is definitely in need though might need to do some tying up so things don’t get battered if we really do get ‘heavy showers’.

Not a lot happening here, a bit tied with not knowing what time the District nurse is coming…….really need to get DM out of the house for a change of scenery at least! Meanwhile I might start cleaning the inside windows today - my shoulder and elbow can only do a few at a time so it’s not a quick job. That is about the sum total of excitement here 😂

Good morning

Overcast here, as was yesterday, but we did have some rain late last night. Like AA Thursday looks more likely, thunderstorms are forecast.

Usual chores to do today, I was very good yesterday as DH told me he had lost the button off a pair of shorts. Went to my sewing box, found a button of the right size and sewed it on, usually they would have been left on the pile for weeks.

Salmon, new potatoes with herbs and asparagus tonight. It's clear the freezer out time again as not much cooking has been going on and there's plenty in there.

Morning again. Hair washed and coffee made so I can settle for a wee while.

Monday was so rainy, the visitors who delighted in the cool air, green grass and rain on Saturday are less enamoured now. Despite this they both walked up to the wee church on Sunday (in drizzle) and cycled to lunch (in pouring rain) yesterday. Today there is more rain and wind, our halcyon days are well behind us.

I had another long chat with a GP yesterday, the new meds need tweaking which is upsetting and annoying. Perhaps I need to adjust my mind set a bit to accommodate these changes. Bum!

After a very tasty lunch in a local hotel yesterday I'm cutting back on the rations again. Inevitably, there's chicken thighs to chomp on. Not much salad stuff left but enough for today. I'll go shopping tomorrow when my cleaner comes.

Sorry to hear about others having problems with friends, family and pets, it all weighs heavily. I hope that all gets better today. xx

Morning all

Overcast here this morning with a slight chance of rain this morning and then back to sunshine this afternoon.

I have two people coming today and it’s not been decided what we are doing today, so we will discuss when I pick them up.

Dinner tonight is summer in winter chicken with rice although dd will probably want pasta with hers.

No news on a move date yet the solicitors are still waiting for some paperwork I had forgotten how long it takes!

Rosy sorry to hear your DS is in hospital, I hope it’s a speedy recovery xx

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Now the rain (albeit light rain) has found us it doesn't seem to want to leave us. It drizzled most of the day yesterday and carried on overnight. It's brighter now this morning but I am under no illusion it will last.

The excitement of today is the hairdresser coming around lunchtime. I have just been addressing the white roots in readiness. The cut is well overdue and my hair has gone haywire. Other than that nothing else is on the agenda apart from the neverending housework. In view of the hairdresser coming at lunchtime lunch with DF has had to be postponed.
