Morning All
Thanks for the starts Gers and Scarlet.
It's misty and murky this morning with rain due for the rest of the day, don't think it's far away. Yesterday was showers on and off so the washing was kept inside.
The little one went home early afternoon after DD and SiL came for lunch, SiL was a little rough after a very good night out! I took the little one when I went shopping in the morning, she found a little frying pan in Lidl that she thought would be good for her cafe at home, most other children would have looked at the toys!
The new term starts today, looking forward to seeing all the children looking shiny and excited. I'm hoping to get to grips with the new system this week but it's all so time consuming. I had a terrible night's sleep so will have to have a coffee or two during the day!
Good you got a month's refund Gers but would be great if it could be fixed.
Your poor little one dp1, as if she hasn't had enough to cope with. Hope all goes well.
I got some free tickets to a property via the Doors Open Day in September, somewhere a pal and I have been meaning to visit for a while so was pleased about that.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Later!
Yesterday was good. Breakfast bacon rolls with old friends and a long catch up. Then I met up with the friends of friends who, despite my fears, are a delightfully quirky and interesting family.
Today I am having lunch with the friends of friends, the friend and her partner which I'm now looking forward to.
Take care all - hugs all round. xx

News Flash!! We had rain overnight! It was promised on the forecast but it looks as though it was a bit heavier than we thought so it's a good start.
Still straightening out downstairs. It was too hot to do some things over the weekend but DH did a few heavy things and I'm finishing it all off today. Must wash the new floor too in a mo.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning GERS and SCARLET. Decisions decisions, I didn't know which thread to join! So I chose the one with most comments - 3 compared to 2!
Well we had rain through the night. I didn't see it or hear it so I guess it was only light. There are no huge puddles about which gives a clue confirming it must have been light. They say we will have more light showers later. I currently have the bedding in to wash so I think that better be festooned around upstairs with the dehumidifier doing it's thing. The first time it's been used for quite some time. The bed is still to remake which is the worst part of a bedding change so I am psyching myself up for that job.
I had a longing for chilli yesterday but none left in the freezer so I currently have mince defrosting and will get that on the go shortly. I'll freeze in portions as usual.
A bit of excitement yesterday in Sainsbury's! I was just unloading my trolley when there were raised voices behind me. When I looked round I could see it was between a security guard and a scruffy looking guy. . It was in the wine and spirits section so I guess he had been up to no good. I didn't see the outcome as my shopping was in need of packing!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for anyone in want of one. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all, thanks Gers and Scarlet,
I've tried to read back as I've been missing for a few days.Sorry about LO casts @dp1
Sorry @RedRuby1231 to hear big dog is having mobility issues.
Been very sporadic posting from me as DS2 is still unwell, and was admitted to another hospital yesterday. He finally got a bed after 26 hours on a trolley, and a scan. I think he's having an ultrasound today. We have been running around with DGS for football etc. He stayed overnight Fri & Sat as his mum was away & she picked him up yesterday.More sport tonight so we'll go over for him later & hopefully we can get to see DS2.
I hope you are all well but I suspect my posting will be sporadic for a while.Take care all.

So sorry to read about your DS @RosyRed, I hope that the medics can sort him out soon.
I've been out briefly to sort out confusion over a repeat prescription, it was easier and quicker than doing on the phone. It's decidedly much cooler then even yesterday. The people I met up with are from Suffolk and are so happy to see green grass and rain. They're here for a fortnight so will soon lose that thrill.

Morning all and thanks to our two morning starters. 😁
We had a little bit of welcome rain last night but I don't think it has made a great deal of difference. More is due today and it's going to be overcast with temperatures sitting in the high teens, maybe a high of 20 deg.
I had a day off everything yesterday so didn't get to post. When DS and I had our birthdays last month we'd planned a meal out but have only just got around to it. We went out for a pub lunch, quite nice and not expensive, and had sandwiches with picky bits later in the day. In the evening I streamed the first episode of the new series of A House in Time that I missed earlier in the week. Whilst I do enjoy a Slothful Sunday now and again, I always end up feeling more tired doing nothing than when I'm busy. I'm sure that will be put right today! 😅
@Rosy - Fingers crossed for good news when you visit the hospital to see your DS.
Usual hugs for those who need one for whatever reason. Take care all and enjoy the lower temperatures if you have them. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
