Car v Train - what would you do in this scenario?

    They will happily cover commuting, but usually they will up the premium a bit.

    If you were travelling all over the place on business, then yes you would probably need a different policy.

    Does it matter if a train is delayed or cancelled?

    I always preferred train to driving into the city because whilst the car was quicker on a good day it was often slower on a bad day, but since having kids and living somewhere with irregular service (every other hour) a delay or cancellation meant I'd be really late home.

    Another big plus, depending on the work you do is that if you can get a seat on the train you can get caught up on admin work and essentially get the travelling time 'for free'.
