I have a DIY battery on a E.ON Smart Saver Fixed. The 2Kwh of battery cost £650. I had an electrician install a fused spur & required power monitor for £150. Saving wise it will take 3 years to recoup the investment. The big question what will electricity prices be in 3 years. Allows me to run 4pm-7pm plus with stored energy.

Thank you for all your replies. Has given me some food for thought. A lot of money and will take time to make it back. Though I can't see energy prices going down anytime soon… Need to sit down and do the maths.
