subscriptions that arent worth the money

What's the biggest waste of money that people still pay for every month?

For me, it's things like unused subscriptions, expensive mobile contracts, and insurance renewals that quietly go up each year.

What's the first expense you'd tell someone to cut if they wanted to save an extra £100–£200 a month?

Anything with no contractual tie-in that you don't need. Plus don't buy all the stuff you don't need (some treats are allowed).

Then make a diary note a month or so ahead of all contract renewals to investigate better deals.

Wait for someone to say alimony.

Insurance is one of those things that is a total waste of money until you make a big claim and then the amount you receive massively dwarfs the premiums you have ever paid. The biggest Motor claim I know of in the UK is over £30m so would be 50,000 years of your average premium to pay pay that one off.

Subscriptions for something you dont use in theory go in the same bucket but again things that are only to be used in crisis possibly need separating out.

Various lotions, potions and pills that are just snake oil to me, but if they make the person happy so what

I was wondering if there is a point to all these bot like questions?
