Morning Gers, morning all
Looking to be a calmer day today, it was so windy yesterday
Off to big shopping centre today as I need a new pillow, mine has gone flat in the middle and there are plenty of shops to wander round to find the right one. Will see what else may fall into my bag too!
{{Hugs}} for the poorlies and their families x
Have a good day all x

Morning folks and greetings from Nidderdale.
After DS picking me and all my belongings up at 7.30 am yesterday I was here and all unpacked in record time. We'd had mizzly rain all night at home but it was dry here when we arrived. But that pesky strong wind is back grr. This morning it.looks to have calmed down a bit.
Have a good day folks and take care. Have a lovely holiday Dp1 and YL I hope this week is less stressful than last week. X

happy Monday everyone
Thankfully yesterday was much calmer with just a quick visit from district nurses to take a blood sample from DM.
Today I’m planning a walk via the Dr to get prescriptions and the next village churchyard to check up on the grave of my BF’s parents (she’s lives 500 miles away so I keep an eye on ‘them’). Might try and get DM out to the local arboretum for a cup of tea this afternoon - and she can use her newly acquired Blue Badge!take care all

Good morning
Cloudy with a few spots of rain, nothing much and not enough to water the garden. Yesterday's visit to As*a was successful, parcels processed in no time, I was impressed. Not as impressed with my shopping, £47 spent and only 2 bags of food, it's the norm now I suppose. Having said that the freezer is full and I got some scotch eggs and pork pies for a pickie tea as the temperature is forecast to rise this week.
Today is the same old, vacuuming, floor mopping and washing. I'm going to get big dogs coats and towels washed ready for winter.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, thanks Gers. We definitely had enough rain to water our garden @remmie , hardly stopped all day with some heavy bursts. The gutter on the glass kitchen roof filled up with dried leaves etc. so DH and DS1 got a hose through the bathroom window to clear it all, and clean the glass too.It is above our dining table and had got very dusty with pollen etc. Looks much better now but has been raining again so full of rain spots 😊My climbing rose at the front has taken a real bashing, grass is full of lemon petals - looks like confetti.
I think it's going to be a mixed weather day here, but nothing much on. I've taken some meatballs out of the freezer to do Italian style, the men can have it with a sourdough baguette.
Hope everyone is ok & has a good day, and those off on hols have a great time.

Morning all. Bright and sunny again so have the first load of washing out and the second in the machine.
Recovering from a super day on the canal yesterday. We only had one lock to get through, and we fitted three boats in each time. We then spent about 3 hours sailing along before turning around and mooring near a pub for refreshments and Morris dancing, then moved on to a second pub for more of the same. Returned the boat at 5pm and all 24 of us off for a pre booked meal at 6pm. Great fun!
I've a busy few days ahead before going away on Thursday so want to buy DGS2's birthday present today to ensure it doesn't get overlooked. The outfit I posted on Friday to DGS3 arrived with them on Saturday, surprisingly enough.
Hope everyone's troubles are lessening; best wishes to all

Morning all
Fine and bright here again, we had rain for about 3 minutes yesterday 🙄 it didn’t even get the dried washing on the line wet, but I am loving this weather.
Dd is off today and wants to wash her bedding so I have left the wm free for her, still no move date yet they are waiting for one document to arrive, OH and I are on holiday in 26 days so we are now hoping it will be after we are back so that we can help her.
Not sure about dinner tonight - either burger and chips or prawn cocktail with bread and butter it depends if dd is here for dinner as she is not keen on prawn cocktail so will save that for when she is out.
I listed a few things on eBay yesterday we used to sell regularly but got out of the habit, we need some more spending money for holiday so hopefully the items will go well.
Happy holidays for those who are away this week
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning again - I've been up to the big town for the appointment with hairy chin woman, it only takes five minutes for her to zap them all. Only did a tiny wee shop as I'm away tomorrow for the rest of the week.
I've prepared my lunch using the remnants of salad stuff and two eggs. I'm expecting the local handy bloke to call round though, knowing Argyll time, I have to live in anticipation. One wall needs new plasterboard, at the very least!
It's good to read all the news this morning, must dash now. Hugs to all xx

Morning all, thanks for today's start @Gers.
First off, a big thank you for your kind words and hugs, I've certainly needed them after last week. I've had time to process everything that's going on and come to a decision as to how to move forward, so am feeling less frazzled and clearer in my mind. I haven't heard a peep from DD despite her promising to keep me updated but that's what I expected so no surprise there. DS is back on the job hunt and I have my fingers crossed he finds something sooner rather than later.
The weather this weekend has been a mixture of cloud with sunny intervals, promised rain not arriving and very breezy, especially yesterday. My hanging baskets are looking very bedraggled and the hydrangea bush that was so lovingly tended earlier in the year is definitely suffering. Meanwhile the weeds seem to flourish. 🙄
I had a lazy weekend with DS taking over all the cooking (much appreciated) so was able to have some 'me' time. Today I have a returns parcel to take to the PO, a pair of shoes that are just that little bit too tight, and will await a replacement wider fit later in the week. I must remember there's a full bag of 20p coins to take with me to pay into the bank at the same time. Dinner tonight is chicken kyivs with 'something'.
Have a good day whatever you're doing, I'll try to be a bit more interesting tomorrow! xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.6
