We try to go to a garden centre once a month to see what the bees land on. Whatever it is, we get it. Our aim is to have a bee-friendly garden all year, if possible.

Ivy - flowers in late autumn/winter.
Honeybees (and others) do not hibernate, and are attracted to gardens with a succession of flowering plants.
The biggest threat to bees is mono-crop culture e.g. hectare upon hectare of rapeseed - this mono-cropping technique is good for agribusiness but has a very limited flowering season - leaving bees with little or nothing to feed on.0
