Dynamic pricing at Ocado
I have had an account at Ocado for many years and because of a reduction in income, I have also reduced the number of orders I do each month. My friend who lives next door also uses Ocado and she will ask me if I want to add to her order if my order is below £40. I will transfer my order to my friends, leave mine in my basket so I know what to pay. Today I did the same and noticed that in my basket three items said buy 2 for £5. I asked my friend to update her order, however that offer wasn’t available on her account. I have also just noticed that the full price on mine was cheaper

Not sure what the question is?
Its not that different from how other supermarkets have worked for years with their targeted offers, in the old days ClubCard used to send vouchers once a month or more often, if you were selected for a particular offer you could also get the 2 for 1 or whatever the offer was but you had to show the voucher. When I worked for their call centre would often get people complaining that their friend/family/neighbour had gotten a better voucher than them.
Now with Tesco you can add them to your card and then they will automatically apply next time you use the card and buy the product. Ocardo are just doing it without having to mess with the adding it to a card

It doesn't surprise me that this happens but I am more concerned about items being out of stock for long periods of time. While this could be availability it might also be a way to steer certain customers towards alternative products or buying habits.

In this example it's likely to be that you added the items to your trolley before Wednesday (when Ocado's offers changed) and that the items are no longer on offer. Ocado generally lets you keep offers that are already in your trolley even if they have expired on the main website.

Even with the Organic markup, £28.50 for a kilo of peeled garlic is outrageous.

I added the 3 in question within 10 mins
