Morning folks and thanks GERS. It promises to be another fine and warm day but not much in the way of sunshine on offer. Much like yesterday when we did have intermittent bursts of sunshine.
I had a good catch up with DF yesterday over a not very inspiring lunch! It did her good to offload her concern over her DH and then we had a good old natter putting the world to rights, as you do!
Today I must make a start on the jobs that have accumulated since the hot weather stopped play! Both the kitchen and bathroom are earmarked for a thorough clean but first I must strip my bed and get the bedding washed. Not an easy job.
Have a good day folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

morning everyone thanks for the start Gers. It’s another warm one here it’s set to change over the weekend. TA I don’t mind stripping the beds I hate making them back up I’m sure our duvets are getting heavier. I’m off out to a cleaning job soon I won’t be doing much when I get back they are lovely people but it’s a big house I was asked if I wanted another cleaning job yesterday it’s only once a fortnight in a bungalow for an old couple but I said no I’m an old couple now and I do enough the only reason I’m doing the ones I’m doing now is because they are all nearly in there’s 80 s and 90 s and I’ve done them for years and they wouldn’t want to have anybody else in but I keep reminding myself I can’t go on for ever . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

The weather is definitely on the turn here. It's very windy and on the dull side with a temp of only 14 degrees. Mind you, we've enjoyed almost four weeks without rain so it will be welcomed when it arrives back over the weekend, just as long as it doesn't stay too long.
Shopping achieved yesterday. Although it wasn't a big shop it was expensive as I had to replenish olive oil, ordinary and two types wine vinegar. I also returned two cotton towels I had bought in a random moment of stupidity. Instead of them I've now got bamboo / cotton mix towels which are really lovely.
Sorry to hear that your lunch was uninspiring @TravellingAbuela, I hope that you felt good after it all too!
Only plans for today are to take my ironing to the dry cleaners and see if the wee deli has got any pecorino yet. The Commonwealth Games open in Glasgow later today so I'll have a watch of the ceremony.
Take care all, enjoy the weather for a bit longer.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
Glad you enjoyed your trip out TA, you're a good friend.
Walked to the allotment yesterday then used friend's carpet cleaner to clean the kitchen and hall rugs - I was disgusted with the dirt that came out! Anyway they look much better and dried well outside.
Read outside for a while, it wasn't too hot which was nice. There's no sunshine today but at least it's still dry.
We have a rat problem - the garden that runs along the bottom of mine and neighbours is very overgrown so we think they are coming from there. I caught 2 yesterday and neighbour caught 1, will go and check the traps this morning.
The little one will be dropped off later until her Mum comes to pick her up, we will probably go for a wander to the shop for some supplies.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX

Morning all. Another dry day beckons here in MK with no rain in sight.
DH and I have decided to go to Hughenden Manor today, as we haven't used our NT membership for ages and we both have a free day.
Toothwise, my implant went ok on Saturday, although I'm still on prophylactic antibiotics plus mouthwash and a soft diet. I'm sure the antibiotics are making me feel tired but it's the diet thing that's a bit of a pain. I've had to change a meal that was pre ordered for Sunday, as I guess roast turkey is no longer a good choice! I'm having the stitches removed next Thursday and then we're away for 9 nights at Sidmouth Folk Festival.
Thanks for the Commonwealth Games reminder Gers; I'll try to watch the opening ceremony if we're around.
Have a good day everyone.

Another bright and sunny day - we are due a bit of rain Sunday morning but only for a few hours.
I have to take little dog to the groomers this morning she will feel more comfortable with a good cut, DD will collect the shopping while I am out.
Not sure about dinner tonight I can’t remember what I ordered but we will have plenty in.
Dogs to be Walked later but big dog struggled yesterday with her walk, she is now being tested for Lyme disease as they can’t find anything wrong with her legs.
Have good days all and take care xx
