Link unenforceable debt and now Moorcroft

hi I have three unenforceable accounts , no CCAs produced with link . today received three letters from moorcoft debt recovery. Does this mean they have took over my account? I plan to to say that the debts are in unenforceable. Can anyone advise me please?

Letter says

‘Your account details have been passed to us by Barclay card owned by Lynne to act as a collection agent and we will now be dealing with your account’

Looks like Liink have just asked Moorcroft to try and get you to pay, just hang on and see what else they say.

If they are a collection agent then they are just pestering you on behalf of link. I would tell link once that you won't be paying and then completely ignore everything from everyone unless you get an Lba.

Moorcroft will probably do some combination of things to try and get you to engage with them. Typical tactics are mentioning a significant discount if you contact them without saying what it is, and using meaningless phrases like "further recovery action" to try and scare and mislead you. Eventually they will get bored and pass it back and then you might get someone else having a go.

Thank you for your replies . so you think shouldn’t send letter to them telling them accounts are unenforceable? I have all paperwork stating that .

It's entirely up to you whether you write, is it worth the cost of a stamp? Up to you.

The "unenforceable" status of your accounts only stops the creditor from taking legal action to recover the debts,

it does not stop collection activity, that will continue.

You can write and say you are not paying due to the lack of a compliant credit agreement, but as most of these systems are automated, it may not make much difference.

Eventually the accounts will be re-viewed, and if no contact, will likely move on to someone else.
