Homemade present ideas needed, but have to be able to survive the post!

Hello!
I have a friend, and we agreed that we'd give each other post-Christmas presents. We were due to meet but due to not having free time, we now won't be able to see each other (we live 3 hours away from each other), so will have to post it. So, I am at a loss at what to get her. I love the hamper idea, but it would be too big, really.

So far I have thought of:
* Making a collage with pictures of me and her on (I have lots of spare wrapping paper, ribbons, glitter glue and things)
* http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=271
* http://www.dltk-kids.com/world/japan/morigami_star.htm - make her a box (like a matchbox size) of these.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

    How about a memory box. You could put pictures, copies, in it of the 2 of you doing stuff together. You could also make one for yourself. This way as you visit you can add to the box with pictures, tickets if you go out etc. If this is too heavy you could decorate a scrap book and put the pictures in it. I'm sure you will be able to come up with things that connect you 2 and the interests you share.
    Another thought is if you knit you could make her a pair of felted slippers or knit a bag then felt it, do a google search for free knitting patterns.:)

    I have sent her a scrapbook thing before and we do have one from when we did last meet up. But I like the idea of a box. That could incorporate all 3 ideas. :) I can't knit though.

    Thanks!

    If you are good on the computer, you can burn a cd with music that she likes or put pictures on a memory card, You can also do a digital scrapbook, (don't ask me how, I am sure if you googled it,you would get lots of sites) stick that on a disk, easy to send.
