After the lazy start yesterday, today I'm up and at 'em!
Sunday was a lovely temperate day, not too hot and not too cold. The massage was good too, felt a lot odd lying on my front for so long but I lasted. What didn't last was the weird covering for the face hole, had to have that off before I could breath easily. I plumped for the masseur’s own home-made oil over rapeseed oil or Neal's, it was a good choice. Anyway, my knots are soothed for a while.
I'm off shortly. Time for my gait analysis followed by the pre-op session, at long last. The day promises sunshine with clouds and my fingers are crossed for clear roads.
Take care all - hope you can all enjoy the day. Hugs to poorlies and everyone else too.

Morning @Gers thanks for the start x
I’m up early as DH needed to be at work for 7am today. He decided to go watch the football with friends in our old town so didn’t get home until midnight. I was worried he wouldn’t wake up so set my alarm too. No work for me today/this week so I’m going out with DSis this afternoon.
Not sure if I mentioned that when I was in Cyprus the family adopted a kitten left by its feral cat mum in our garden. She’s 7 weeks old and very cute but is very much DD’s responsibility. She’s called Lucky and is fascinated with my slippers for some reason.
Dinner tonight is carbonara. I roasted a gammon joint yesterday so will use some of the leftover meat. The remainder will be for sandwiches or frozen if not used up today.
Have a good day all and hugs to our poorlies.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. The sun has his hat on but will take it off and back on throughout the day. A slightly higher temp too, 23 deg forecast.
All i will say about last night is that the best team most deservedly won. And I might now be able to get back to my usual bedtime. I don't cope well with all the late matches keeping me from my bed!
Top of the job list today really must be a freezer defrost. I've never known it get this bad. Then who knows what delights might follow.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and sad. The usual wave to the MIA. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Well the best team won! Couldn't stay up for the extra time but watched the rest that I recorded this morning. Disgraceful scenes from the losing side at the end but the best team won so a happy ending!
Making tomato soup with a glut of tomatoes DS gave us. Still have some left over so might find a recipe for bolognese too. Washing to hang out and it looks a calmer day today weather wise.
Nothing else planned except giving the garden a good water this morning.
Have a good day all x

Morning all
Looks to be a nice day but it’s quite chilly this morning hopefully it will warm up a bit later.
I am off to mums this morning will make her a lasagne which will do a few days and get her washing etc sorted, I started sorting her wardrobes last week so will continue with that and move onto her drawers, she has far too many clothes but refuses to get rid of any, if I’m finding things that are badly stained which are not saveable am chucking them, her eyes are so bad that she can’t see if her clothes are stained and will sit there in a dirty top.
Dinner tonight will be the rest of the pork joint from last night with some chips and salad.
I have a meeting this afternoon to get the ball rolling so that I can offer respite at home, there is a big need for it apparently so I am going to see if I can make enough money at it, I think I will only have to work two weeks a month but we will see how it works out.
I have washing to hang out and the dogs to walk this morning.
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning
Well, the forecast on my phone says showers, but looking out there aren't any, sun now coming out.
Yesterday turned into a very productive day, started with washing and vacuuming, then cut DHs hair and finally got round to making the marmite and cheese sausage rolls. DH really likes them, so will be doing them again. While the oven was on I put some roasties in and we had them with the pork left over from Saturday.
As for today, no plans yet, plenty in freezer to choose from.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, thanks Gers, sounds like you are getting forward with your plans now.

Morning everyone
It's forecast to get out nice and sunny this afternoon, so I'll get my inside jobs done this morning. I've just made a doctor's appointment at lunchtime, I think I have another chest infection, or didn't get rid of the last one properly. I also want to discuss the pain in my hands and feet, caused by Long Covid, I have it all the time just now, it's like a sharp stabbing pain, apparently caused by damage to the nerve endings. It's been 4 years now, so I'm sick of it.
Other than that, it will be a pottering and reading day…I actually started my Sunday Times yesterday, which is very unusual. Little one is having a brilliant time at Butlins, though I think DD is finding it harder than usual with having baby to look after too…she's used to being able to sit with a coffee while little one joins in with activities.
Mam and dad were both in good spirits yesterday and were sitting out on the patio when I arrived, it was lovely to see them looking a bit happier. I've said I'll take mam into town tomorrow afternoon as she's wanting to buy birthday cards, though i think she'll change her mind.
Right must get on, I hope everyone has a good day x
