Morning everyone

Back after a great 6 days in Anglesey, four of which were spent with friends who live there. Much needed rest , lots of walking and sea air and great cooler temps and a breeze.

Back to it now - DF has managed to keep most of the flowers and veg alive - a few crispy looking leaves but will salvage those. Some van cleaning and garden tidying today along with washing and ironing.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying some cooler weather.

Thanks Gers, it certainly is a lazy kind of day, I didn't wake up until 6.45 which is a big long lie for me!

Seemed to be busy all day yesterday although I'm not too sure what I did apart from clean, do washing and cut the grass. I did spend quite a while at allotment 1 watering my own and other's plots as everything is so dry. I think the mange tout has just about finished, now waiting for more peas and beans but they seem to be a little slow this year.

Oh, and I made some rhubarb and ginger jam that can be sold at the allotment open day as I still have loads from last year.

Glad you're getting some relief Suffolksue, hope it continues.

Hope your DS had a happy birthday and you enjoyed the celebrations Chrisca.

Hope you enjoyed the show TA.

Glad the boiler went in ok Ruby, I had a new one this year and I was surprised at the difference.

Shopping to do this morning once the bedding has finished in the WM, DS2 arriving some time today, will await a message!

Morning GERS and all to follow. Another pleasant day in store with 21 deg forecast and set to rise again in a little bit tomorrow.

The show yesterday was really good. The first half, called Wonderland, was loosely based on the story of Alice, with some fabulous costumes to accompany the performances. Then second half was a mixture of dances, music and costumes. And not a bit of contemporary music or dance! This was middle DGDs last performance with the dance school. After 15 years there she has decided to concentrate now on her A level studies and performances with her school. I felt quite sad.

The excitement of today is the Sainsbob's shop with DS this morning. I have quite a long list this time after missing last week's shop. The fridge got a good clean yesterday in readiness. Next job will be the freezer to defrost and sort out but stocks are definitely going down and I will be going into panic mode soon as usual!

I am back to yoga this morning - haven’t been for a month due to DDad’s visit and my week over there. Am food shopping with Mum after then need to collect a clothes rail as we are moving out of our bedroom in the next few weeks. Not looking forward to sleeping in the dining room but no other choice!!

Welcome back @AlwaysAllie. No wonder you slept late @camelot1001, you did a lot of stuff!

Made it through the ablutions, now clean and moisturised. I use an after-shower oil on damp skin as it soaks in much better though takes a wee while to dry. Now I smell lovely!

Pleasant is the correct word for the weather@TravellingAbuela - not over hot and not cold, good getting out and about weather. My bedding dried in super-quick time yesterday, it was whirled around by the high warm winds.

This morning I'm having a back and shoulder massage in a village nearly 10 miles away, I might get more of those knots driven out. There's eggs and avocado for lunch with fresh fruit for pudding. Yesterday I bit into a beautifully juicy and sweet peach, of course some of that juice dribbled down my freshly on T-shirt. Had to laugh as it was inevitable and I should have been more careful. 😂

Morning all from a dull overcast mehefinland…bliss!!!

Yesterday was spent travelling to Ledbury to collect a load of plants that Gwen had won in an online auction. We completely filled the car and looked like a greenhouse on wheels on our return. The rest of the day was spent reviving them all with copious amounts of water. Most seem to be recovering well. Some of the stuff had been substituted without our knowledge-some buddleia 'appeared' which we had not wanted. The young chap helping people pickup stuff was run off his feet so we just swallowed hard and accepted the situation. We will sell them on probably.

DIL asked about laundering their new quilt as the dogs had got it dirty!!! Much muttering this end…. she was told in no uncertain terms NOT to dry clean it but go to one of those industrial size machines you see popping up in carparks and put it on a minimal wash followed by a long but coolish tumble dry. Think the dogs may be banned from the bed when they get the bill for that lot !!

Beach litter pick shortly for an hour - glad it isn't too hot and sunny as it's a limestone pebble beach and it can be blinding looking for stuff .Sunglasses and a good hat required.

morning everyone it’s a milder day suits me I can’t do with the sun beating down although I like it warm not a lot happening here I have cooked a small joint and we will have Yorkshire pudding and veg later . We have cricket on all day it’s a semi final with a few teams it starts at 10 and will go on until tonight we are all just praying for no windows to be put out or damage to roof tiles . I went to the charity shop to help out for an hour yesterday and ended up staying 3 hours we were really busy sold a lot of crockery for some reason.Gers that massage sounds wonderful I’m very envious I bought some peaches the other day they were delicious I might pop out and get some more tomorrow now you have reminded me . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

My grandcat arrived yesterday for a 10 day holiday ,got out of the carrier looked around and stalked down the hall as if she owned the place !
we get along ok ( I am well trained by now 🤣)

Morning everyone

It's very quiet here without any children! I'm not used to it as little one is usually here at least one night at the weekends.

Yesterday was very lazy, I went into town to get my hair cut and had a browse in a few shops and then sat in the summerhouse and read for most of the afternoon. I've written a long list of jobs I'd like to get done over the 6 weeks holiday, some big some small, and will try to complete at least one every day.

Todays' job is to do a pile of ironing, a lot of it is school uniform I got from school for little one from the spare clothes boxes. Parents are very good at handing outgrown clothes in, it saves others buying it new.

After lunch I need to go to collect a parcel from lockers not far away and then I will go down to spend a couple of hours with mam and dad.

Eldest DD came home from her very short trip to Boston yesterday, the plane was delayed by 3 hours, so she missed her connection at Amsterdam, so spent the day there before getting a flight back to Nuremberg. She'd enjoyed it as she used to live there, so knows her way around, but was glad to get home.

Right, must get on, I hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all

Another bright and sunny day but a bit cooler which is nice, OH has his work clothes in the wm so he can hang them out once finished.

DD should be in soon and we might go to Asda as we didn’t get there the other day, I am after t- shirts but I am very fussy they have to be v- neck and very thin material, I can’t wear anything tight around my neck it makes me gag for some reason 🤷‍♀️

I have got a joint of pork out of the freezer which I will cook today and we will have it with veg and potatoes cooked on the bbq, there is strawberries and cream for pudding.

I will do another wash loaf once this one has finished and I will spend sometime in the garden later.
