NHS pension

What do you mean by bank interests? Are you doing additional work in the NHS through banking arrangements or do you simply mean it is interest on bank accounts?
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, it becomes much more attractive to move that part of your income subject to higher rate tax into a pension and so remain a basic rate taxpayer The advantages of moving money into a pension become more marginal when you are moving untaxed income into a pension (even if you do get a tax credit on top per my SIPP example earlier).
Nobody on here knows sufficient about you and your circumstances to discuss specific options with you. It is good you are considering this and it would probably be worth engaging a financial advisor to guide you in the right direction.

The poster usually refers to interest from bank accounts in the plural, so I would presume the latter rather than the former.
