Nationwide/Moorcroft
I’ve had the following email today from Moorcroft in relation to my defaulted Nationwide loan. As far as I am aware they never responded to the write off request in relation to financial abuse, although I have submitted a SAR to CAB which will confirm this.
should I now set up a standing order or should I raise questions in relation to Nationwide not replying to the request before I start to pay anything?
Thanks

As per the letter, Moorcroft are only acting on behalf of Nationwide, this is known as an equitable assignment.
That gives them the right to ask for payment, but they can`t back it up with any enforcement action.
So they are neither "use nor ornament" really.
If you still have issues with Nationwide I suggest you pursue the matter with them, Moorcroft can be ignored or you can advise them you still have an unresolved dispute with their client, and thank them for contacting you.
In future emails/calls/texts should all be ignored, only a letter requires your attention.

Thank you I for that @sourcrates
I thank I’ll wait until I get all the information fromCAB and see if there is anything from Nationwide, I presume not as. They have never notified me of anything. Once I has that, I can pursue Nationwide, as you suggest.
