SA tax calculation does not show tax paid via PAYE.

I have to do Self Assessment because I receive a tiny foreign pension, so I also supply details of interest received on savings. Normally I have tax to pay of a few hundred £, but my calculation shows over £7k. This can only be because the calculation has not included tax already paid under PAYE.

I have been doing SA for several years and this hasn’t happened before. Where have I gone wrong?I don’t think I normally have to put in figures of PAYE as it comes up automatically?

Are you saying that your gross PAYE income is included in the calculation but the tax paid isn't?

Is it the same source of PAYE income that's been included in previous years' SAs?

If you look at the full calculation page at the end of the SA process, you should be able to work out exactly how its working out the £7K, and if the tax paid on your PAYE income.

Or post the calculations here for others to check.

You did enter the PAYE tax from your P60 in the relevant employee form, yes?

    Thanks for the replies.

I can only think at some point I must have ticked a wrong box as I seem not to have had the opportunity to input certain bits of information which I normally do. I am going to start again tomorrow. Or maybe this evening as I am not watching the football.
