Good Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, bet your views are stunning this morning.
Thanks Corrieflash, can't remember the name but it sounds very similar and no reason for it to begin - one of life's mysteries!
Hope you've managed to get a prescription Ruby.
Not a cloud in the sky this morning and the sun is shining, I have the little one for the next few days so the paddling pool is filling up as we speak, the water will still be cold this afternoon but little ones don't seem to notice. If it's still hot later I may join her!
I got the chest of drawers outside yesterday, sanded, painted and waxed and looks as good as new again. Bit of a struggle getting it back upstairs but it's done and re-filled. Had a good sort out of socks so there's a pile for the bin.
Hoping everyone is well and free from troubles, take care. XX

Morning, thanks Gers. Hope you're all right. It's cloudy here, though yesterday started cloudy and turned out to be quite warm.
Mehefin, your dalmatian patterned wall made me laugh! It might become the next big thing in outdoor decor.
Visiting a housebound friend today with a bit of shopping. My journey takes me through a local big shopping centre, I might nip into the M&S on the way home, I've seen a vase I like.
Tbh I could do without going out, but go out I must, hey ho
Hope everyone is all right - thoughts to Loobidoo, Redruby and anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks.

Morning all
Feeling hot and sticky already here. Cloudy at the moment but sun due to come out later.
Getting the double glazing finished today at last!
Will do a bit of tidying up and hoovering upstairs while downstairs will be occupied but apart from that an afternoon in the garden with a good book! Something on the tv tonight that might leave me 😄 or 😥. We can only hope!!
Have a good day all and ((hugs)) for the poorlies xx

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another hot one forecast but the sun has yet to get his hat on hereabouts.
I did a few more garden jobs yesterday, with lots of stopping and starting, thanks to my painful legs, and just when I thought I had done enough for one day I got a text from DS saying he had finished work early and was on his way to trim the wayward hedge back. It had gone totally haywire in this hot sunny spell and he had noticed when he dropped me back off on Sunday. So I was the gofer and sweeper upper as usual. He's a good 'un.
If my nerves can take it I intend to watch the match tonight! And, unless it's changed, due to the forecast of thunderstorms, it's on at a more civilised time. I got watching last night's match, expecting one way traffic, but was so pleased for Spain beating all the pundits favourite to win!
No fixed plans for the day but as always there are plenty of jobs waiting in the wings. I need to have a delve in the freezer before I christen today's eats but I'm getting fed up of eating the same stuff that avoids much in the way of cooking.
Have a good day folks if you can and I hope the poorlies are getting better - LOOBIDOO and RUBY and anyone else. Take care all. be safe xx

Paddling pool would tempt me too @camelot1001 and yes, the view across the sea to Jura is beautiful. This sight will keep me going during the dark wet days ahead.
What a great son you have @TravellingAbuela! I hope that Marks still have the vase @ScarletRibbons. Chilling in the garden before the match is perfect @Chrisca50. You're very adventurous @mehefin.
Yesterday I managed an appointment with my GP, it was a last minute decision to phone the surgery. My mystery left foot pain annoyed me so much that it pushed me into action. GP has no real idea (ditto) but suggested a change of one of my two meds. We'll see.
Today my long-lost gardener is back to do some serious weeding. She's had a problem with her hands which seem to under control now. It'll be good to see her and get some clear space in one particular area of the garden. This is where I sprayed the thriving weeds late last week, I want some more of my beloved inula hookeri planted instead as it spreads delightfully.
Take care all - enjoy whatever weather comes your way. Hugs to all.

Morning all
Sunny here again but actually feels slightly chilly - I’m sure it will warm up later.
The gp called yesterday and wanted to see me but I couldn’t get in as I had people with me,also I didn’t feel I needed to see him just a prescription, I went to a local pharmacy in the town and spoke to the pharmacist who has given me some antibiotics only three days worth but she said it should clear up in that time, I do feel better already so it appears they are working. 🤞🏻
I have the dentist this morning just for a check up it’s next to M&S so I will nip in there for some potatoes, dinner tonight is gammon egg and chips but I don’t have enough potatoes.
I have a wash on the go and will hang it out once it’s finished.
Camelot enjoy the paddling pool 😀
Have good days all and take care x

Good morning
A bit dull and cloudy here, but sun forecast later. A more comfortable night as temperatures dropped too around 12degs.
Yesterday I got all the washing done and dried, went for a walk and met a friend and her husband, half an hour goes fast when you're having a catch up.
No idea what's for tea, the freezers full but I've lost my mojo for cooking in this weather. Last night we nibbled on southern fried chicken wings.
Good luck to England tonight, I doubt I'll be watching, far to stressful, but DH will. I'll get his opinion tomorrow, no doubt.
Have a good day all, hope the poorlies feel better. Take care.

Morning all, it is a bit cloudy here, hopefully it's meant to clear. My arm is a bit sore today as I went for a shingles jab yesterday, suddenly remembered an hour before it was due!
Picked up the meat pack too, so I had a burger for tea, DH had cheese and biscuits. I did freeze some but still have some to choose from in the fridge for later, before the match.
I managed to persuade DH to chuck a lot of his tatty work clothes away, so they're in the bin being collected today. He's kept one or two in case he helps DS2 out now and then.
Glad you're feeling a bit better Ruby.
Wish I had a paddling pool Camelot 😀
We will be watching the match, have read that half time is going to be 30 mins instead of 15, coupled with the hydration breaks it makes it a later finish, especially if there is extra time if they are drawing. Hopefully a win though!
Take care all.

Hello everyone
A late one from me but I realised I haven't posted in a few days. No reason…just life getting in the way …I had a lovely weekend with both children but not a minute to myself! We spent a lot of it in a tent in my back garden, baby loves rolling around in it and it means I can still sit in the sun.
Camelot - I read a tip for warming up the water in a paddling pool, once you've filled it lie bin bags on top of the water, also useful to cover it up at the end of the day. Tried it last summer and it worked.
I had little one after school yesterday, we sat in the summer house and played several games of Frustration, we play with 2 sets of colours each, little one is very competitive and won every game! She has a hospital appointment at Newcastle tomorrow and then they go to Butlins on Friday, so she's finished school now…she is so excited!
This morning I had little foster baby and used his pushchair to carry my shopping, he shouted and smiled at everyone and got lots of attention. He went home at lunchtime and I went into town for a cuppa and cake with my friend. Lovely afternoon, but the pile of ironing is still sitting waiting for someone to do it!
My eldest DD is in the sky on her way to Boston for work, she has a meeting when she gets there, will spend all day tomorrow at the Puma offices and then flies home on Friday. She would have liked to add a few days sightseeing, but it wasn't possible…probably because she has a lot to do before the end of next week when she will go to Barcelona with friends and then meet me in Majorca! She's never been keen on going to America, but she's not really going to have time to experience it.
Right, I need to wash up x
