Homemade biscuits -nicer than shop bought?

Well, to me this is a no brainer :rotfl: but not everyone agrees, see here and here. Anyone else think homemade aren't as nice as bought ?

    I suppose it depends on how good a baker you are. My dad was a professional confectioner baker and his biscuits/cakes etc were so much nicer than shop bought.
    However, I cannot bake (I've tried) so even the cheapest shop bought biscuits are much nicer than mine.
    A friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.

    No most HM are better than shop bought BUT I am partial to the odd choccy digestive in moments of weakness:o

    I make biscuits, not as often as I like, but when I do, they get hoovered up very quickly as soon as they come out of the oven. Chocolate chip and crystalised ginger particularly popular round here by kids and adults alike.
