Morning folks and thanks GERS.
A quick one as it's home time today and I want to get packed and cleaned before it gets too warm. DS is picking me up on their way back from Northumberland. They have escaped the horrendous heat we've had and had a lovely week in much more pleasant weather there. I'm not expecting them until after lunch.
I don't know how I got up so early after my late night football watching. Could have done without E/T though! I was in bits by the end of Wonder Wall. It gets me every time! I'm not sure my nerves can cope with the next game!
Have a good day folks take care all x

Morning all - it's also a sunny start to Sunday here. Could even (fingers crossed) be a scorcher at last.
Lunch with @Camelot1001 was so nice, long chats and a mediocre sandwich. Again, I couldn't walk too far so we parked on a bench with a coffee and talked. She brought me a bounty of homegrown vegetables, I had prepared by bringing a wee haversack with me. Once back at my car I picked up the newly-framed picture, it looks just a good. The framer told me that there was another painting on the back of the board - was hoping for a long-lost Renoir or Picasso but was disappointed! She sent me a photo of the painting, it's another abstract, my late DM was so fond of doing these. Despite it being very good I prefer the view of tiny allotment huts from above.
This morning I've cooked the potatoes, washed my hair and got a washing on. Want to make the most of the heat. Have a good journey home @TravellingAbuela.
Have a good Sunday! Hugs to all.

Thanks for the start Gers, enjoyed meeting up yesterday. The bus journeys were good and the weather very pleasant and not sunny after the scorching heat of the few days before.
Same overcast weather this morning that will be perfect for gardening and allotmenteering. Bedding just finishing in the WM so will hang that out in a minute.
Sorry to hear of the young lady's passing Rosy, especially sad if there are little ones involved.
Hope your DS is getting on ok with his new job YL.
Must start of some serious housework as I have visitors again next week, DS2 and his GF, really looking forward to seeing them.
Have a peaceful Sunday and take care. XX

Another hot day in store but there is a good breeze which is very welcome, I have got a load in the wm which can be hung out when it’s finished.
I’ve got a few gherkins to pick and pickle today, they have been coming in dribs and drabs but there are a few ready ones.
Bbq for dinner again tonight, dd is off to a bbq at her friends so just OH and I here for dinner.
Will just have a pottering day and do some housework and maybe a bit of gardening.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks @Gers.
It's another lovely sunny day here with a gentle breeze and feeling pleasantly warm as opposed to oppressively hot. Ideal drying weather for the small quick load that's in the WM.
Although not a footie fan, I watched last night's match with DS; due to the lateness of the game we had a mini pizza and a couple of cans of beer each. No sore heads this morning but a nanna nap may be needed at some stage - good job it's slothful Sunday! Dinner today is sweet & smoky sizzler steaks with mushrooms, onions, baby potatoes and broccoli - already prepared so not much cooking involved and perhaps eaten outside.
@TA - Safe journey home from the 'van.
@camelot - Thanks, DS is enjoying his new job and it seems to be going well.
I hope everyone has a calm and peaceful Sunday, take care whatever you're doing. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11 -

Very cloudy and windy here and cooler.
DS belongs to a local boat club and we are going there for a bbq later as it's his step son's birthday today. Might get blown away!
I managed the first half of the football but couldn't stay awake any longer but watched the highlights this morning and was very surprised that we won. Hey Jude!!
Have a good day all x
