selling old clothes?
Any sugestions for places to sell old unused cloths?
Theres one of those booths in the local Tesco car park but they pay only 40p per kilo. I have quite a lot of stuff in good condition and several items completely unworn with original price tags still attached. I suppose I could go down the Ebay route but that seems too much hassle and rather get rid of all in one go

Divide it into 3 groups.
- stuff that's not nice any more, stained, ripped, bobbled etc - sell that at 40p/kilo
- stuff that's nice but not wonderful, wearable but not your size now or the wrong colour/fit etc - sell it in job lots on your local facebook group or NextDoor - i.e. 6 blouses for £5. Be prepared to haggle/discount. Cash payable on pickup.
- stuff that's vintage, really nice, top brands - either take the time on Vinted/ebay or see if a local resale commission based shop will sell them for you.

Our local "40p a Kilo" cash for clothes won't accept stained or ripped
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1 -
Ah - I thought these places were pulping the clothing to turn it into something completely different.

Last year I had a clear out of items I no longer wear, I then had a rethink ! I'm 55 now sadly no longer in employment, since Brexit and COVID and not in receipt of benefits. I then thought that probably in the future i'll need those jumpers in the cupboard as I wouldn't be able to afford to replace them now if I sold them. I have donated huge amount of my clothing to charity but haven't had much luck selling anything on ebay or related sites.
Items I had collected from the 1970s or pieces of interest again gave them away as a donation then afterwards wished I hadn't. So going forward have decided to keep clothing now as might need a decent pair of shoes, that don't fall apart, a decent pair of trousers, skirts and a few dresses when I am older and properly retired.
