Morning Scarlet and all to followo
Posting on a different tablet this morning which is a bit clunky compared to my iPad but better than nothing.
Beds have been stripped and bedding in the washing machine it should dry quickly today.
Bbq for dinner just OH and I here as DD is on her way to Crete with work.
The predictive text on this is driving me and so I will end there, hope everyone is ok x

Good morning Ruby, good to see you back, sorry about your difficulties.
It's a cloudy start here, but a bit cooler. I think another day of sport is on the cards for DH, definitely watching F1, for me, I'll be sorting out the freezer, I've got 12 pork shoulder steaks to fit in, bought on ys.
Garlic and herb chicken drumsticks for tea, with coleslaw and salad.
Only the usual chores to do, so have a good day all, take care.

Morning all
Cloudy day today with that dratted wind but at least my bedding should dry quickly.
No plans today except, like @remmie will be watching the F1 and a little bit of Wimbledon too.
Shame they didn't decide to change the time of the England match, so it's back to 1am. Oh well I will record the highlight show on at 7am ish tomorrow instead
Have a good day all x

Morning again, it's fine here at the moment.
Predictive text can be a pain I know Ruby, but it can be handy at times when it's the word you want.
Sorry to hear about your shower woes Remmie, hope you can get it fixed..
Hope you enjoy your break in the caravan TA.
My boy is still running, yesterday there was a strong gusty wind, hope it's dropped now. Izzy, I knew one of your sons was a runner. I think he used to do tough mudders like my son? The ones where they came home battered and bleeding saying what a great time they'd had!
Nothing planned today, that blooming garden could stand a tidy again, I don't know what happens out there, I seem to be out there too often.
I have a tub outside the front door with plants in, they're not doing very well. I'll have a look at them, might replace them.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, I know what you mean about the garden, seem to be forever tidying up! Hope your DS is coping with his run.
Sorry you have computer troubles Ruby, what a pain.
I had a trip with DD to Glasgow yesterday in the rain, her van passed it's MOT so she's happy. Bought a few presents for upcoming birthdays, only managed 2 shops and got fed up! We went from the garage into town on the Subway, always a treat for me, I'm such a child! Got back in time for them going to a BBQ but it was quite wet so it was probably a change of plan. I got a few jobs done and some sorting out, found some pictures I bought in Vietnam 2 years ago that I forgot about so will look for frames today.
It's still raining so the washing is hung on the pulley, will leave changing the bed until the weather gets better.
Have a good trip to the 'van TA, hope you have some good weather.
Hope you're ok SO and Nanny - missing you.
Have a peaceful Sunday and enjoy whatever you do. Take care. XX

Morning all. Bit cloudy here so far but have hung one lot of washing on the line and will strip the bed when DH gets up!
Had a good time in London yesterday as I got the train down for a pub music session near King's Cross. The F1 is on at Silverstone so when I got back about 6.45pm DH couldn't get the car in to MK station to collect me so I had to walk and meet him nearby. Had to stand all the way on the train down to Euston as well. Pleased that people are out and about and spending money to boost the economy though.
Today we might watch the classic car rally through town and then wander across to the Carnival field to see what's going on. I'm making a chilli later, which will do for dinner tonight plus tomorrow.
Sunday wishes to everyone.

Morning folks. Just a quickie whilst waiting for DS. As usual everything bar the kitchen sink going with me, plus a load of stuff DD asked me to take back. She had "borrowed" some garden chairs and other things to take to the IOW when they went for the festival. DS will have a fit when he sees it all.
I cooked a chicken crown last night to take with me so that will do for today and tomorrows dinners. I've always taken a cooked gammon joint for previous stays but have got a bit fed up of it. So that and the rest of my victuals now packed in the freezer bag
The weather is forecast to stay a bit iffy until Wednesday and then summer will be back - they say!! The usual stash of books is going with me for either indoor or outdoor reading. I hope it's the latter!
I'm unsure whether watching the game will be on the agenda or not. If I don't manage a nap beforehand I'll be slumped asleep on the sofa even before kick-off!
Have a good day all whatever you are up to. ((HUGS)) for all in need, take care and be safe xx

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. Good news about your DS, some stint!
The pharmacist appointment went well. BP stable. No shopping needed or done and the never-ending rain wasn't inviting me outside. My nephew is in London for a birthday so sent me photos of beautiful blue skies and everyone in summer clothes. Meanwhile my horizon was hidden by low cloud, mist and rain.
I stayed up very late last night watching a recorded film, it was almost today when I closed my eyes though I slept for seven and a half hours. As for today, I hope to have a shoulder massage if the woman answers my message. Because I walk funny my neck and shoulders tighten up horribly. There's a food fair in the big town which is tempting so I will avoid that. 😀
I hope that all are well. Hugs to all. xx

I've put a beef joint in the sc for later.
Take care everyone.

Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for the start off.
Yesterday was a very trying day (more of that later) so I didn't manage to post. It was overcast, gloomy and breezy all day with occasional fine drizzle drifting by on the wind; today it's forecast for cloud so not much better but perhaps drier.
By the time yesterday ended I had a numb bum and a frazzled brain. I spent a fair amount of time setting up spreadsheets for DS to use for recording work travel arrangements, expenses etc while he was fretting and/or fuming over confusing DWP notifications about benefit payments (not that he can do anything about them until tomorrow). Then I had a long phone call from DSiL, a lovely woman but she does waffle on about the same things over and over again so it's quite time consuming, usually not at the most convenient of times. Next up, I did an grocery online order for delivery tomorrow that took far longer than expected. A large picture in the hallway decided to throw itself onto the floor, the glass smashed into smithereens and I now have a blank space with nothing to fill it. Just to end a less than perfect day, because of all the sport on TV, last night's programme schedules were of the either/or variety and nothing like they were supposed to be. 🙄 The best part of the day was a lovely chicken curry dinner made by DS.
Beyond knowing that today's planned dinner is Cornish pasty with potatoes and veg, who knows how today will pan out? 🤔 We'll see.
@TA - Enjoy your 'van trip, you might be lucky with the weather this time!
I hope everyone's having a good and peaceful weekend whatever you're doing. Take care, stay safe and help yourself to a virtual hug if needed. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
