Good morning, thanks Gers.

It's cloudy here, and it's rained, with more to come I think. My youngest, ds2, is doing a 'Rat Race' today from Bamburgh to Edinburgh, starting 7am, I've just messaged him. Finishing time is early Monday morning, hope he'll be ok. We can track him all the way. He is an experienced marathon runner, but this is 100 miles.

Not much on today, but of shopping and housework, there's always housework!

I haven't read back on yesterday but hope everyone is all right.

Wow, Scarlet - 100 miles!

It's very murky and wet out this morning, will keep the washing for another day. Yesterday wasn't too bad but a bit showery. Visited the allotment with the little one and we picked peas, beetroot (that she calls rhubarb) and dug up some potatoes that we had for lunch. There will be a lot of potatoes so gave some to DD when she collected the little one and told her not to buy any!

DD's van is going for an MOT today so will go with her and we'll go into Glasgow for a wander until it's ready to collect. Apart from that I've nothing planned but there's plenty to do here, as you say Scarlet, there's always housework!

Sunny this morning but that dratted wind is expecting to make a comeback today. There'll be rose petals everywhere in the garden!

No plans for today except some baking and bed changing.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's a gloomy start here. Not raining, just gloomy! It looks a bit windy but, as yet, not as windy as t'other day. Summer is supposed to make a comeback mid week, though not as hot here as further south.

Crikey SCARLET that's some run for your DS. I hope all goes well.

I have the excitement of Sainsbobs with DS in a bit. Not a very big list but I am away to the caravan tomorrow and need a few bits to take with me. I am also taking one of the fans just in case the intense heat does get up hereabouts as it' can be unbearable in the caravan when it's hot outside. DS is taking me and coming back for me next Sunday on their way back from Northumberland. He and his DP (plus dog) are off to their favourite bolt hole right on the beach. Molly dog loves her holidays there, charging up and down the beach and into the sea.

Yesterday was a day of pottering and getting the washing up to date. Plus tracking down a delivery which had allegedly been delivered to me and hadn't! It had ended up at a similar address but at least they had got the number right!

Well, the morning isn't really too good. It's dark, wet and decidedly not even warm. It'll be a day of mostly sloth again.

Yesterday I got up to the opticians in good time. New prescription sunglasses (oh, the irony!) are really lovely. I stopped wearing contact lens nearly four years ago though never got round to replacing my driving sunnies. Whilst there I asked about having a couple of old pairs re-glazed so handed them over.

This morning I have an appointment with the pharmacist and then nothing on the agenda. Last night I watched a couple of episodes of series one of Ludwig so may well carry on. The second series is coming in August I think.

Good luck to @ScarletRibbons DS - what a feat. Our wind is back with a vengeance too @Chrisca50, wind is worse for me than rain. Enjoy shopping @TravellingAbuela.

morning everyone 100 miles scarlet and I thought my son was bonkers good luck to him . I must get some housework done today I will start at the top and work my way down hubby has carried the hoover upstairs for me before he has gone to play golf I will have a walk with the dog later but otherwise not a lot going on . I got a bargain yesterday a brand new heated pillow ready for the winter 4 pound I had a heated throw but the dog used to scrunch it up that much it got holes in I didn’t dare plug it in nothing to say I will get to use this she will probably sleep on it like a princess. TA enjoy the caravan it will be nice to have some time away . Mild but grey here it might get out a bit later . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning

Bright and sunny, temperatures set to hit 23 degrees which is bearable, but due to rise next week.

Well, after the saga of the sink, our shower is now playing up, there's always something. DH is on the case, and we are awaiting a delivery of parts from the river company today. Hopefully he can fix it, I'm not looking forward to a repeat of sink gate.

Burgers for tea, the only time I have bread. Not eating bread I don't feel so bloated and have less tummy issues (sorry if tmi).

@RedRuby1231 Haven't "seen" you for a couple of days, hope alls OK.

morning all

A lovely overnighter in S Shrops and a decent walk along a ridge. Warm but very windy so was good for walking.

Today I feel hampered by indecision, too much to do and my head is doing ‘shall I do this, or that, or maybe the other’. Also trying to do things now that won’t be possible or comfortable if we get another heat blast. I’ll likely be busy all day once I’ve actually decided!!

A significant increase in my step count over the last two days as took both parents to Hythe on Thursday then visited the Kent County Show yesterday. Today the entire family is coming for a BBQ and it’s supposed to be a scorcher. I fly back to Cyprus with DDad tomorrow and will stay for a week.

Thanks for missing me Remmie 😬 I have had trouble getting on here on my iPad - turns out the iPad will not update to the next level to allow me access to the forums, it’s only a few years old 🙄 so on my phone for now till I can sort something out.
