I'm all ready to get the early bus down to Glasgow to collect my repaired toaster from JL. Their big shop is opposite the bus station so I can get there, do the business and get the the next bus back. Home by 2.30'ish.
After doing my financial stuff I took a wee notion to wipe down the interior of my car! There were numerous coffee spills and a lot of dust, all sorted by a damp soapy cloth. Should have done it ages ago.
It's very dank and horrid here, raincoat at the ready. I hope that all are well. Take care xx

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, enjoy the bus trip to Glasgow. Perhaps you could do the inside of my car too!
Back from my short trip away, it was really lovely, lots of walking and discovering new places, re-discovered a few too. I really love Northumberland, the beaches go on for ever with such big skies. Sadly the traffic on the way home yesterday was brutal around Edinburgh and Glasgow along with some rather horrid rain.
Hope you had a very Happy Birthday Yorklass.
When does your DD get her new house keys Ruby?
Glad you enjoyed 10cc Mehefin, I saw them when they were at their best, I was around 15!
I've changed the bed the visitors were in as the little one is coming here today and will stay tonight - she likes the very big bed all to herself! I found some sweetie wrappers under the bed - I think my visitors were having midnight snacks!
Shopping to do and the allotment to visit today along with entertaining the little one. There's washing to do but it's a bit showery at the moment so will hang it out later.
Have a good day, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Have a safe trip for your toaster. Another "it could do anything" sky here with blue sky and sun from the front window and black sky from the back window. It was a very warm night which had me tossing and turning and sleepless most of the night.
What a game of two halves that was last night! I was exhausted by the final whistle!
The usual chores await this morning as usual. Then this evening I am going to the show that middle DGD is in. It's all part of her A level studies in dance and musical theatre. It's in the auditorium of the school she is at for her A levels.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Can't believe how England played so badly and then won the game! Won't be watching their next one as it starts at 1am our time which is a shame
Looking cloudy out there but forecast is saying highs of 25 and sunny all day starting around 10am, so that's good.
A little bit of housework to do this morning and then more weeding in the garden. Didn't mind when the lovely poppies appeared from nowhere but all the other stuff sprouting up from nowhere is a no no! I blame the birds leaving seeds behind.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Hello all
Yesterday was another non-stop day but can’t tell you what I did other than an afternoon of hanging around hospital.
Today Bdog and I are off for a walk in a local area haven’t been to for years, then will stay over somewhere close by in the van - just an overnighter and then visit a very good charity bookshop tomorrow for a mooch.
Take care
AA

Good morning
It's sunny but sounds windy, a good drying day, so guess what I'll be doing. Today it's the turn of the sofa throws and cushion covers.
After that excitement tonight's tea will be the pork chops we didn't have last night, instead DH had a steak pie from the freezer and I had spag bol, also from the freezer.
Really need to mop the floors, so will do that today. Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers I hope you have an uneventful trip to Glasgow x
Belated Happy Birthday wishes to @YorksLass and well done to your DS for securing another role so quickly. I have everything crossed for him that this firm treat him better xx
I WFH yesterday and did 8.5 hours without a break - my step count was 187 by bedtime. Very tired but managed to watch the footie which was the usual painful 90 minutes. I will be in Cyprus for the next game as I’m taking DDad back on Sunday, will be 3am kick off there!
We are off to Hythe today for lunch and a walk. Will take Mum with us - they get on fine as have been divorced 45 years and he lives in another country.Take the free cruise @IzzyBee and if your friend moans then she’s not much of a friend x
Have a good day all

morning everyone thanks for the start Gers enjoy your bus ride for the toaster it’s a shame about the weather we have sunshine and it’s very windy . I’m off to do a cleaning job then I need to call at Lidl just a couple of bits of fresh stuff needed I’m still working on getting these freezers down .enjoy your walk AA you will enjoy the fresh air after sitting in a hospital all afternoon love a look around a book shop Barter books in Alnwick is my idea of heaven . Well I bit the bullet and rang my friend yesterday and it wasn’t as bad as I thought she said I obviously couldn’t turn the offer down but she probably wouldn’t go to the wedding now so I still feel guilty I hate letting people down hubby just said that’s up to her nothing to do with you . Must get going I’ve got washing on the line it should be dry when I get back hubby has asked for tuna pasta tonight that’s very strange of him but it’s nice and easy so that’s alright. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all, thanks @Gers sorry to hear your weather isn't behaving itself. Have a safe trip down to Glasgow.
Here we're told to expect sunny intervals with no significant rainfall and 'feels like' temperatures in the mid to high teens. It's very breezy and, like @TA, I have a contrasting dual view of bright blue or dark grey sky depending on which window I look out of.
Thanks all for the birthday wishes, I had a quiet but pleasant enough day; the cake and fizz will be appearing at the weekend. 😁 I did my weekly top-up shop, remembered to take the bag of soft plastics that I forgot last week and had fun (not) at the check-out when their manned tills weren't working. A new-to-me experience of using a self-service card payment till followed - hopefully not something I'll need to repeat in a hurry! 🙄 June's budgets finalised when I got home and new ones set up for July.
Today I need to bake some bread and have a towels wash on the go to be pegged out (securely) when it's finished. My outside drain for the kitchen sink sometimes gets a bit smelly thanks to fallen leaves, grass cuttings etc and it's due for a clean so I'll steel myself to get that done this afternoon. Maybe a bit of weeding too if I can be bothered. Chicken stir fry with noodles for dinner.
@camelot - Daily step count of 187 - very droll! 🤣
@Izzy - Hubby's right, don't feel guilty.
That's enough waffle for now so I'm sending ((HUGS)) for those who need them and a wave to our MIA. Take care all, have a good day. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8
