    well done Izzy a lovely start to the board 👏 the heat is due back down here next week, it doesn't suit me but on a positive note I tend to go off my food especially cooking so I may see good results.

    Same, it's really hard to keep weight off as a shorter person, especially a middle aged fast approaching menopause woman! The only thing that works for me is calorie counting. I worked out my average daily energy expenditure and log what I eat.

    Things that have helped include not drinking alcohol any more, and a low-ish carb diet so I don't have a lot of bread, potatoes or pasta. I also try to do a daily walk or run, and weights to build my muscle mass up. Good luck!

    @Brambling

    No I wasn't eating between meals unless you count having lunch which I normally don't have these days since retiring.

    Can you add the 10 lost to last quarter? That way I can track things better.

    This heat has meant I probably haven't got quite so much exercise in as usual but I've also not felt like eating much either (I don't have icecream at home to tempt me). So the bathroom scales are showing a loss at the moment and I hope that will still be the case come Wednesday which will be my normal weekly WI day this quarter.

    The NHS website tells me my BMI is 20.9 and I don't need to lose any more weight but just maintain it - which is what basically happened last quarter. However I have some garments which would look better on a figure slightly smaller than mine is right now.

    And I can report a 3lb loss.

    (possibly the only benefit of this heatwave)
