Morning again, it's a sunny start here.
We've got a delivery coming from Morries this morning, I ordered some booze and soft drinks for Dh's party. We don't have a car anymore, and it's heavy stuff, so it's easier to have it delivered.
I'm now having nightmarish thoughts that no one will turn up and we'll be sitting surrounded by loads of sandwiches and drinks on our own.
Yesterday was ok, busy all day with various jobs. I gave the fridge a good clean out - it rivals the freezer for getting into a mess.
Better go and get my arris is into gear and put a wash load in.
Hope everyone is all right and has good days, thought to anyone who is not well.

Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons - I'm sure that your friends will all be there tonight!
After a very wet early morning the sun is trying hard to shine through the clouds, I can see ribbons of blue. Yesterday was awful, there wasn't just rain, there was torrential rain. Plants loved it, me less so.
I've got a small express wash on the go, I'm chancing my arm but will put it outside and keep my fingers crossed that the windy dry weather does the trick fairly swiftly. Later on I am going out for lunch at the local museum cafe to meet up with one of the other women who was at the Perth week. TBH I'm fairly reluctant as I'm mostly a hermit these days, anyway I'll make the effort and hope that I enjoy it.
Even after only three 'treatments' my eyes are less foggy, those mites are in retreat already.
Take care all, I hope that the weather gives some relief today. Hugs to all.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but cooler than it has been which is a relief they are saying we are to expect another heatwave soon though.
DD is working a double shift today so won’t be home till late tonight and OH is at the boot sale so nice and quiet here, just me and the dogs and they are snoozing.
Yesterday dd and I went to homesense and she bought some more bits for her house, I got her a set of three saucepans and a frying pan, we are slowly getting there with things she needs.
Dinner tonight will be a bbq we have some chicken thighs which I will marinade and some big mushrooms which I will stuff with soft cheese.
I have a load in the wm so will hang that out once it’s finished and I need to hoover through and mop the floors.
Camelot I am thinking of you xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I think you are worrying over nothing, I'm sure there will be a good turnout for DH's birthday.
There was evidence of light overnight rain when I got up but it soon dried up. The forecast tells me it will be 21 deg today but as yet it doesn't feel it. It's still very warm inside the house despite the windows open.
I managed to get (almost) all on my list yesterday. The freezers down the frozen veg aisle were empty and off. I only needed a restock of their own brand peas and had to fork out for Bi**ds Eye which were in a different aisle. Still ice creams and lollies available as long as you weren't too selective. There were quite a few ys bargains to be had down the fresh meat and fish section, probably evidence that nobody could be bothered cooking last week!
I all but stayed awake last night for the game but did nod off for a few minutes at one point. And I actually slept through afterwards without tossing and turning all night. My best night's sleep for a week. Normal service will resume today with a catch up of jobs instead of feet up reading with the fan on all day. My book stockpile is really going down now but I still need to have restraint when tempted in the cs.
Have a good day all whatever you are up to, ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and a wave to the MIA. Hope you are ok and just in hiding for a while. Take care all, be safe x
Just had a text from DS asking if I am ok to be foster mum for a young cat all day! It's his DP's DS's young cat and they have gone on holiday leaving her in their care. But they are both out all day today and don't like leaving her alone! She's a house cat so all the necessities will be coming with her. Aw bless.

morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet I’m sure your friends will all turn up and a good time will be had . Gers I’m turning into a right antisocial old mare and I have to force myself to go out all the time you wouldn’t believe how wound up I get sometimes about going places and then I give myself a good talking to when I get back . I need to get a bit of shopping put your hands over your ears if you are sick of hearing this I am but the diet starts today I’ve had far to much ice cream in this hot weather and I can feel my waistbands getting tight . The washer has just finished we had a good downpour through the night but it’s supposed to stay dry today it’s still warm I’m going to sort the freezer out decide what we having to eat the rest of the week mop the kitchen floor again I’ve cooked a small joint I will do Yorkshire pudding and veg later . I’m undecided weather to go to the market at the castle I know there’s going to be a plant man there and I would like a couple but will I only stick at a couple don’t be silly . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

@TravellingAbuela I only managed 20 minutes of the England match but I recorded it and watched the second half this morning with breakfast. I took your place last night as I woke around 3am with a cold breeze coming through the window so I got up and closed it and then woke up at 5am and couldn't get back to sleep! Fingers crossed for you tonight!
Just been out to cut down some bushes that went mad while we were away and then the sun and the rain spurred them on even more! Shopping delivery came just now so DS will be up for his later. He's not staying for dinner as the F1 starts at 2pm and he's a big fan and watches all the bits from before during and after the race!
Nothing else planned today so hope you all have a good one and @ScarletRibbons enjoy your DH's birthday party x

Morning @Scarlet and all to follow - we seem to be a bit thin on the ground! I'm sure today's party will be fine, enjoy.
Mr Weatherman says today will be cloudy with sunny intervals and cooler, somewhere in the low 20's, maybe some rain at some stage. It doesn't feel any less hot inside though, the house is holding onto the heat. I wish it were so in winter, it would save a fortune on the heating bills. 😁
There's a small load in the WM on a quick wash that can go out to dry when it's done and I'll give the inside of the fridge a tidy/wipe since there's not much in it right now - we're rapidly running out of warm weather food! For dinner I'm thinking of doing chicken and mushrooms in a creamy sauce with baby potatoes and mixed veg - not much cooking involved. If it does turn out to be cooler (and only if) I could be persuaded to bake a batch of lemon buns since the cake tin is empty. DS has sold a second item on the Bay of E and has taken it to the shop ready for Monday's collection. He was planning to take his two bags of donations to the CS today until I told him they're not open on Sundays so they'll have to wait until tomorrow.
@Gers - Glad to hear your eyes are already responding to treatment. It's sometimes hard to make the effort so I hope your lunch meet-up is enjoyable. I like my own company too.
@Ruby - Your DD will soon be kitted out at this rate.
@TA - Have a good day with the foster cat - your planned day of catch up jobs may not happen! 🙂
Waves to our MIA, I hope all is well. Have a peaceful Sunday everyone, take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
