Any recent experiences with VIDA Homeloans?

Our application is due to go in any day now. What was the process like for you if you don’t mind sharing?

We had a DIP with them for £210k. We’re buying for £250k but are borrowing the full £210k. Our broker said this wouldn’t be a problem.

My partners credit is perfect. He has changed jobs from being self employed for 4 years to employed in September last year.

My credit is adverse, most recent default 2024 and 6 other defaults between 2019-2023 but no CCJs and current payments all up to date.

Just interested to hear others timelines.

Not their biggest fan, we took them off panel for a while after covid due to the way they dealt with applicants and brokers during that time.

We have since re-added them and only used them a few times. They are still in my bad books but ultimately there are times when we only have them as an option.

They are not the easiest or quickest. They can also be a little on the cautious side considering the part of the market they are in. But they have never declined any of our applications which I suppose is the most important factor from your side.
