Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Hope you had a very Happy Birthday SuffolkSue.
The rain this morning is epic, I think I may need an Ark to get to work! Talking of work, there are some big changes in our school for myself or my colleague, will let you know what happens after next week's meetings. All is not good. Needless to say I have had a very sleepless night.
We had pot luck lunch at work yesterday which was lovely, some really nice food was brought in, my pavlova turned out to be massive so there's loads left for today if it's still ok.
Hoping everyone is well, take care. XX

Morning again - it's a sunny start, I'm cautiously optimistic that it will be a good day.
Belated happy birthday wishes to Suffolk Sue, hope you enjoyed your day.
Remmie, hope the sink was installed without any problems.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday Coxy.
Ruby sorry to read that your ear is still 'flapping'. Hope it can be remedied - I suffer from tinnitus, it's always there, I do sympathise. It's awful having a constant noise in your head.
Dp1, so sorry to see that your Mum is still unhappy, it's so sad for her and you.
YL, I'm a busy person like you, I can always find a job to do.
Worrying times ahead for you Camelot, thinking of you.
Hope the day goes well for everyone today, take care folks.

Morning everyone
I’m in very peaceful Gloucestershire at a campsite with no one else here - a couple of caravans coming tonight apparently. Had a very slow stroll along a canal yesterday. Will do a loop along the river this morning and have a lazy afternoon again as it’s supposed to be warm.
Feels like the first time I’ve semi-relaxed for weeks so a nice short break. Only downside was a terrible night of not sleeping.
Camelot - sorry to hear the work news, it’s horrid having something hanging over you like that.
Hope everyone can enjoy the end of the weekAA

Good morning
A bright sunny start here, yesterday was so hot, just the day for fitting a sink, which of course wasn't straightforward. The new sink is slightly larger than the old one, (I didn't do the measurements), so the worktop had to be trimmed. My goodness what a mess that made, also the new sink needs to be siliconed in, which of course we haven't got. So today will be spent getting silicone then the new tap can be fitted. What a palaver when we only needed a new tap. Still, it looks nice.
Tonight will be another make do meal, probably something with salad, we have ham or there's some roast beef in the freezer.
Camelot, sorry to hear about your work troubles, hope it works out ok.
Belated birthday wishes to Suffolk Sue x
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here and meant to be a very hot one, the wm is on and I will hang it out later. I went to Lidl yesterday and picked up an allium and a really lovely pot, dd saw them and wants one for her house so we are going back later to get her some, I might pick up some more too.
I spoke to the Dr yesterday about my ear and she has prescribed me a nasal spray and told me to take a daily antihistamine and that ibuprofen might also help, I got them yesterday and took all three and it did seem to ease it a bit, I don’t know which one worked though so have just done the nasal spray this morning, and will add the rest and see which helps the most, she said Caffeine will also affect it but I don’t really have caffeine, Coxy she also mentioned hormones and the menopause which as you said gets blamed for everything 🙄
DD and OH are both off today so a full house, dd is making a curry tonight from scratch which will be lovely. Dogs will need a walk and some housework to do.
SSue happy belated birthday xx
Camelot I’m so sorry you are having problems at work, I hope it all works out for you xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning folks. Sunny and warm start here too but rain due later this afternoon. It never lets us down does it!!
I'm a late comer this morning. In GERS' words I have been doing too much faffing. Just having another coffee now before I start the Friday Tidy. Today it's a vac and dust up and down day with much leg resting in between. The pots outside could do with a watering too but I'll hang fire on that for now, I'll wait and see if the promised heavy rain arrives and does the job for me.
CAMELOT worrying times for you until you know the outcome of next week's meeting. Fingers crossed. REMMIE what a palaver fitting the new sink, just for the sake of a new tap! SuffolkSue I hope you managed to have a lovely birthday despite the relentless aches and pains.
I just need to go out and bring the garden wheelie bin back in now and then I'll get moving. The bin was full to the brim and boy it was that heavy I had all on dragging it to the bottom of the drive. Much lighter work dragging it back in again. Have a good day folks if you can, take care and be safe x

Morning everyone
Dry and warm her this morning, I've just put my washing out, hopefully there won't be any showers.
I'll go down to see mam and dad this morning then to work. I had little one and little foster baby for a couple of hours after school yesterday…little one was straight out to play with her friends on her bike. After tea she made a father's day card for great grandad, then we played snakes and ladders and read some books. Smaller one was trying so hard to crawl, he can get himself in the right position now but then looks very surprised he's not going anywhere.
Izzy I hope your jury service is ok, is it at Newcastle? When my dad worked at Newcastle he often used to finish early and go and watch a trial.
I hope everything works out for you at work Camelot
Always Allie - the peace sounds lovely
Hope everyone has a good day x

Hi everyone,
I don't know whether I'm coming or going at the moment. After our jaunt to Pembrokeshire we had 4 days at home then 4 days at Center Parcs, 1 day at home then 3 days looking after Nate, we got home last night. Center Parcs was great, the children love it and spend hours in the pool and we celebrated Chris' 40th a couple of weeks early. Not so restful for me as I planned the evening meals and ended up at least helping to cook them. It wasn't too bad though, pizzas one night, bbq the next and baked salmon on the Sunday. We had Nate because Crystal had to be in court (she's a lawyer, she wasn't the defendant), it was a very big case before the appeal court but she's not holding out much hope of winning as it would mean a change of tax law if they did.
I'm looking forward to some time at home so I'm hoping the new little one doesn't come for at least a week. I've got a doctor's appointment this morning as my new medication seems to have brought me out in a rash. On Monday I've got a dental check up so hopefully I will get to that.
Camelot, fingers crossed things work out ok.
Sorry, belated birthday wishes to NRA and Suffolk Sue.
dp1, my thoughts are with you.
Have a good day.

Morning all, thanks for the start @Scarlet.
Yesterday's cloud eventually lifted and the rest of the day was fine and sunny. Today it seems as if it will be the reverse - sunny now, cloud in the evening with rain possible. That being the case, I'll get myself outside to tackle the rest of the brambles (or as much as I can before I feel pooped) and save the indoor jobs for later. The indoor jobs are, of course, the usual weekly admin and devising a meal plan for next week. The bedding I took off yesterday is chugging away in the WM and can go for outside drying once it's finished. Easy tea tonight of fishcakes and mushy peas with some leftover diced/lightly fried potatoes.
@camelot - I'm so sorry to hear changes at school are afoot for you, the waiting to find out what they are is never easy.
@AA - Have a restful break, hopefully you'll sleep better tonight.
@remmie - Almost there with the new sink, it will be worth it!
@Izzy - I hope your jury service is interesting - although I gather it often isn't.
@Ruby - Fingers crossed your ear responds to the new treatment or at least gives you some respite.
@snoozer - You have had a busy time! It's no wonder you're looking forward to some time at home. Good luck with the doctor and dentist appointments.
Nothing else to add so I'll wish everyone a good day, enjoy the sun (if you have it) and take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
