Security check civil service
im going to try and be as vague as possible given the topic.
I was arrested twice, both resulted in NFA. I strongly contest both of them as it was wrongful (IMO)
one in 2022 and the other 2025.
Im due to undergo a SC. Some people have said the form asks about arrests/adverse contact with police but others say it asks about convictions only. So im confused.
Anyone recently gone through this? And if there is no question about arrests do i declare it in other information?

Answer each question honestly as it is written.

If you actually mean a security check for a specific role rather than a standard BPSS check that all CS undergo on employment then no it only asks about actual convictions (including spent ones)

its for a specific role. I have already had BPSS. This requires SC vetting.

Then I have answered your question, I had a check six months ago.

Depending on which department you are going to be working for it may be worth putting a note on explaining the circumstances, upfront open and honest is the key. One consideration is 'are you at risk of blackmail' over something not disclosed at the time.
