DB Pension take lump sum or not?

I'm going to opt for the minimum PCLS from my tiny civil service pension when they can finally sort it out (it is now overdue). I am likely to be over the LSA anyway so if this small DB pension is only the lettuce in my BLT of fixed retirement income it is still worth having the extra. Every little helps - as I've heard they say in Tesco's

I took the maximum lump sum from one and no lump sum from the other as the commutation factor of 34 was too good to say no to.
