morning everyone thanks for the start scarlet I’m off out to a cleaning job in a minute it’s very cloudy with rain showers later . The phone saga is still ongoing we went through with ID yesterday only to be told the phones now get delivered to your home address so we are now waiting for them to be delivered hopefully today if not tomorrow then we have to take them back to the shop to get them set up what a palaver it’s a 60 mile round trip which we have done 3 times 5 pounds parking every time and I wouldn’t care we hardly use our phones they are just so old and constantly need charging. Must dash now I have finished moaning. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Good morning
Dry, mild and it looks like the sun is trying to come out. Yesterday started chilly and while driving to the opticians it started raining, but by the time I came out of my appointment the sun was shining. As I guessed my eye is still swollen and has some fluid behind it, so I've been referred back to the clinic for more eye drops to clear it up, but otherwise all is ok. I need reading glasses but he said to just get over the counter ones.
Today will be spent catching up with laundry, not much else happening. Tonight will probably be burgers as there's some rolls that need using.
Off now to catch up on yesterday's news, have a good day all, take care.

Morning again, it's another grey start here, it seems to be getting darker! Yesterday it was quite cold.
Hope you get your tooth sorted out WL
I did some carpet cleaning yesterday, I think I'll do the living room carpet today, while we've got the machine out.
That's about it for today, hope everyone's all right.
Take care folks.

Morning all
Dry and sunny here I have some washing in the machine so will hang that out once it’s done. I only have one person coming today as the other one has an appointment so I’m not sure what we will do, she did show an interest in laser tag but I’ve just looked and it’s £36 for 1/2 hour 😳 I will see what she wants to do but we may end up going for a walk.
I cooked the gammon yesterday so that’s for dinner tonight with egg and chips, the rest will be used for a carbonara for tomorrow, last night we had spag bol.
I need to order the shopping tonight ready for collection Thursday.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A bit of a gloomy start here too, no sun but at least there is no rain or wind. Yesterday ended up a mostly dry day but of course the rain had to appear at some point. Come evening time the drizzle started.
I finally made a start on tidying the back garden and addressing the weeds yesterday. . There seems to be far more this year for some reason. I'm wondering if it's because of the ever present wind blowing seeds about.
All being well it's lunch with DF today but, as usual, that's dependant on what frame of mind her DH is in when he gets up. I'm awaiting a text any time now telling me if it's on or off. It seems ages since our last meet up for one reason or another, though we do keep in touch regularly in between times.
Have a good day if you can folks with the usual ((HUGS)) where needed. REMMIE I hope the new drops get your eye sorted out. I must have been one of the lucky ones as I didn't suffer any ill effects after either of my ops. Take care all, be safe.x

Morning all. Dull but dry here atm.
Well, I took the tooth with me yesterday (in a small plastic bag) and apparently it's a crown that's come off. A crown I didn't even realise I had so it must be over 20 years old. I've now got an appointment for my own dentist on Monday but I'm sure he's going to say I need an implant; I can't see any other way round it. More money……
On a slightly better note I've managed to lose a couple of pounds as I was worried about eating so that's good.
Today I need to replace a chipped bowl and look for a new king size bottom sheet. We're having salmon and roasted veg for an early dinner as I need to leave home by 6.30pm for tonight's pub dance out.
@remmie I didn't realise you were having problems after your cataract op. Sorry to hear that and I hope it can be sorted out quickly.
Look after yourselves everyone.

Morning everyone
Cloudy and dull here, but perhaps the sun will pop out later…it did yesterday.
I had a lovely day with little one on Saturday at Lillidorei, the sun was shining making it warm enough to be in a t shirt. She was a better height for all the climbing and stretching and didn't need any help, whereas last year she did. She very bravely climbed up to and slid down the tallest slide and enjoyed it so much she did it again and again…it's 26 metres high!
I visited mam and dad on Sunday afternoon and then again yesterday, mam seems to be getting more unhappy and just sits in her chair…the carers are trying to get her involved with activities, but she refuses…they were doing cooking with some of the residents yesterday and they had tried to get her to join in, but she wouldn't.
I went over to my friends after work for a cuppa and a catch up…and a very nice chocolate eclair.
I managed to get all the weeds out from between the paving stones at the front on Sunday and some out at the back, then finished the back last night, it's all looking a lot tidier.
Gers your trip to Perth sounds really interesting, I hope you enjoy it.
Must get my ironing done before work, hope everyone has a good day x

Afternoon all, thanks @Scarlet.
Yesterday was dry with sunny intervals until late evening when we had a light shower that may or may not have continued overnight but this morning it looked dry underfoot so I'm guessing it didn't. More sunny intervals today and it's mild and calm but, once again, showers haven't been ruled out.
This morning I've made a half & half loaf and a tub of croutons from the oddments of the last loaf and later this afternoon I have more books to return to the Little Free Library. Last night I finished another Patricia Cornwall/Dr Kay Scarpetta novel called Trace - I wonder if there will be more of hers there today? If not, it doesn't matter as I have plenty of others to read. When I get back I plan to attack the weeds between the patio paving slabs (again), hopefully it won't take too much doing since it's not that long ago it was done. Tonight's tea is chilli & rice, apple pie & custard for afters. This evening I'll tackle today's 'extra' which is cutting down a spare king size sheet to make a single and pinning up the hem.
@Izzy - Moan away about the phone saga all you like! I'm still plodding on with an old Nokia that now has just 2G signal but it does what I want and need it to do - I'm dreading the day I have to upgrade!
@remmie - Glad to hear your eye is OK apart from needing eye drops for a bit longer.
@WL - Whether it's new crown or an implant, it's going to be £££s. 😕
@dp1 - I'm sorry to hear your mam is still unhappy, sadly it may be that she'll never get used to it so I'm glad you and LO had a lovely day at Lillidorei.
Here's wishing everyone a good day, take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
