Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's a fine start here, looks like it's going to be a nice day. Yesterday was ok, but a bit chilly last night.
Nothing of note happening here, we might go out for a walk to our riverside park.
Hope everyone is ok and has good days. I'll pop back later to see what everyone is up to.
Take care folks.

morning Gers and all who follow
I can’t seem to sleep much past 5 or 6 am - very annoying. Yesterday was very busy , mainly with gardening, and I’m very sore and achey today. I’ll wash the van today which will involve stretching in different directions so might even myself out!
Hope everyone has a loveiy day

Morning All
What a beautiful morning. Thanks for the start Gers and no I didn't stay up for the match either! I thought I would be woken up by folk celebrating but didn't hear a thing, in fact for the first time in a long time I slept from 10 until 5 without getting up to check the plumbing!
I met DD and the little one at Costco yesterday, I filled up with fuel as it's cheaper there by about 10p a litre. Little one and I went for lunch at Ikea (could be her favourite place to eat!) and had a little look about. Once I had dropped her off I did some jobs in the house that have been on my list for ages, actually didn't take as long as I thought.
Two beds stripped this morning, first day it's due to stay dry, first load is out on the line and the next is about to finish. Shopping to do this morning and then must tidy up the garden, hopefully I'll get the grass cut too.
Have a happy Sunday, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks GERS. I hope you are feeling a bit better today.
Most unusual, we have a sunny start with lots of blue sky. Sadly, according to forecast, it aint going to last! We are supposed to be getting light cloud cover. Yesterday's promised drizzly stuff never happened but that dratted pesky wind was back making it feel decidedly chilly all day.
My fridge and fruit bowl are now stocked up after yesterday's shop. The cost of everything seems to go up by the week. Just one item not on my list jumped in my trolly. I don't normally buy ready meals but when I spotted a Charlie Bigham's lasagne much reduced I couldn't resist, so that will be my slothful lunch today. I'll see whether it lives up to the good reviews the brand gets.
Not much is planned for today, although there are things I should be doing. I keep telling myself Sunday is a day of rest and then I don't feel so guilty!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for anyone one in need. SilverOldie seems to have been missing for a while, I hope she is ok. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning two - the sky is almost blue, very faded but still blue. I had a better night and feel that the tide may well have turned. (touch wood).
I've been unpacking and then repacking, probably far too much again though this time I have the car so not having to carry the case. I was about to do something productive but have sat down to watch the swallows do their feeding swoop. Not so many as the storm which wiped out 80% of them in their way home across Spain has left the few struggling.
This morning I have to do a little snack shopping, bananas, apples and some cheese, for the week ahead. I'm going on an historical / archaeological summer school in Perth, only 105 miles away though it's a three hour drive. The accommodation is a student hostel so it's back to basics after my week of luxury in Toronto. 😅
@AlwaysAllie - I've been waking at the crack of dawn for years now, I have to go to bed early to get enough sleep. Mind you, I enjoy the early mornings so I don't mind so much too often.
@TravellingAbuela - hope you enjoy the ready meal. I picked up a reduced Tuscan Sausage Rigatoni the other day but it wasn't to my taste, the sauce was too thin, tasty meat and too much pasta. Good to try it.
Must awa' - have a good day everyone. Here's to sunshine. Hugs to all. xx

Morning all. Bright and sunny here so far.
Glad you're feeling better ready for your next trip Gers.
TA: we like the C Bigham roasted veg lasagne and sometimes have one on a Wednesday, when I have to leave early for an evening event.
Had a big shock yesterday; I was nibbling a piece of cheese at lunchtime and all of a sudden there was something crunchy in my mouth, which turned out to be a tooth! One of my bottom teeth had completely broken off for no obvious reason. I phoned the number for the emergency dentist at our surgery, as I didn't know what to do, but I had to leave a message and haven't yet had a call back, which I think is poor service for Denplan. It doesn't hurt so I'll leave it until tomorrow but I'm somewhat bewildered as to what's going on.
Anyway, on with the chores and will be stripping the bed later and maybe watching the tennis final after lunch.
Hope you all have pleasant and uneventful days.

It’s a beautiful day and hot already I have got the bedding in the wm so will get that hung out shortly. I spent time in the garden yesterday and I must say it’s looking good out there, today I am going to take the hanging baskets down and line them with a moisture retaining fabric the coco liners just don’t hold the water.
DD is working a late shift so just OH and I here for dinner which will be a bbq we have some minty lamb chops and a couple of pork belly strips there is also pasta salad left from yesterday.
Nothing much else on today although the dogs will need a walk but OH can do it today.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks @Gers. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better ready for your second trip - a very different proposition from Toronto but it does sound interesting.
Early morning blue sky has been replaced by cloud but it does feel milder, the wind has dropped and there's only a slim chance of rain, so it's definitely an improvement on what we've been having.
I did a small shop yesterday, mainly for this week's TV guide and milk, but I did get a YS pack of posh chorizo sausages for the freezer. Having read through the TV guide, I can see sport - in particular footie (obviously) - seems to be ruling the roost this week. Not for me but I'm sure I'll find something else to occupy my evenings. DS is changing over to night shifts from today too so I'll have a new routine to get used to.
My NDN hasn't moved house yet and, as part of her pre-move decluttering, has gifted me a useful bathroom storage unit that I'll clean today. Other than that, nothing really happening. Dinner will be a sausage casserole (not the chorizo ones), baby potatoes and that last pack of Xmas braised red cabbage.
@WL - Fingers crossed the broken tooth stays pain-free and that you can get seen asap.
@Ruby - Despite all the rain, I'm watering my hanging baskets every other day and will revert back to daily when (if) it gets warmer again.
I hope everyone has a restful and peaceful Sunday. Take care. xx
Be kind to others and to yourself too.9
