Morning again. Where is everyone this morning? I hope having a sleep in unlike me who was awake at silly o'clock again. I wish I could go back to my teenage habits when I could have slept the clock round!

The forecast is for light rain and wind, no surprises there, but it's currently fine. It was a bit sunny too but that's disappeared now. I was hoping to get out in the back garden to tidy it up a bit but if it rains that job will be on hold again. I am a fair weather gardener these days.

GERS you sound to have had a good holiday but what a shame about the cold keeping you confined to barracks for a couple of days. I'm not happy in crowds either so can understand your reluctance to board the boat. CHRISCA your holiday is now imminent I believe, have a good one.

morning everyone thanks for the start TA it’s a bit brighter here supposed to be dry but there is a chance of a little rain. I’m off out to do my volunteering soon as long as it stays dry this morning when we are unloading the van it can do what it likes this afternoon when I’m in the charity shop. Gers I’m pleased you had a good trip what a lot of people on that boat I went on a cruise that only holds 900 I couldn’t have coped with that at all DP1 I’m sorry your parents are still getting upset big hugs it must be difficult to see I hope things settle down soon . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all

It’s a bit dull and overcast here this morning but they are saying no rain today so we will see. I went on my course yesterday which went on and on we were in a loft of the county hall building and were crowded in so we had the windows open for air, in the afternoon I got colder and colder and by the time we finished I was cold to the bones, I got in and had a hot bath and then we lit the log burner which is unheard of in June, it was very cozy though.

Dinner tonight will be breakfast for dinner 😃 nice and quick to cook, both dd and OH are working today so a peaceful day for me. I will take the dogs out this morning and have a tidy through.I have washing in the machine and another load to go in after.

We are still waiting for a call from the plumber I hope he comes sooner rather than later as the boiler is making all sorts of noises.

Gers I’m glad you had a great holiday shame about your cold though x

Morning everyone

I'm pleased you enjoyed your holiday Gers, a pity about your cold though, and thank you for your kind thoughts re mam and dad. I feel really out of my depth, I had mam on the phone last night telling me to put money in mine and my brothers' bank accounts for our birthday, she didn't realise she was talking to me or that it's a couple of months away. DD took the little ones to see them after school and wished she hadn't as both mam and dad were shouting and little one was upset. Their house went on the market on Wednesday and we had an offer on Thursday! There's more people booked viewings over the weekend.

I'll go down this morning before work, hopefully they'll be ok.

Little one has her pirate assembly at the end of school today, I should manage to get across from nursery to watch it as we have a couple of children away on holiday today. Then she's coming home with me for a sleepover, ready for our day at Llidoreii tomorrow. …have a google it's a brilliant place.

Right, I'd better get a move on…I have washing to put out, my packed lunch to make and get my clothes on.

Morning all

Thanks for starting us off @TravellingAbuela and yes I've been finishing packing and we'll be off after lunch as we're staying at a hotel tonight at Gatwick as we have an early flight tomorrow morning. DH in work for a couple of hours this morning but he surprised me when I got up as he'd left me a new laptop as an anniversary present. That can wait till we get back to set it up though! Our anniversary is tomorrow so not too early!

I've always wanted to see Niagara Falls @Gers but, yes, that boat sounds a bit too much

Morning all, thanks @TA for the start off.

Well, I caved in yesterday and put the heating back on for a short spell in the late afternoon. Unheard of for June but I was so cold it was a case of needs must. After a wet night of gusty winds, today's forecast says it will be a cloudy day with showers, maybe some sun and highs of around 15 deg. Where's the good weather that keeps being promised? 🤨

Nothing out of the ordinary happening today, just the usual Friday admin to do, so I'll carry on with clearing out any unwanted items. So far, there are only two things and it's not worth a trip to the CS just yet. DS has a couple more items to list on one of the online selling sites this weekend; hopefully they'll sell so he can use up some of the packaging stuff that's cluttering up the spare bedroom. Tea tonight is an easy fake-away chippy tea.

@Gers - Welcome home, such a shame the cold germs got to you for a few days on your holiday but it sounds as if you enjoyed a wonderful experience.

@Chrisca - Happy holidays!

@dp1 - Gentle hugs, you're going through a really rough patch right now so I hope the pirate assembly and a visit to Llidoreii with LO help to lighten your load.
