Walking stick with seat attached

Does anyone have any experience of these? I've looked at several different types and can't seem to find one that has a high enough seat (for an older person) and is lightweight and not too bulky or complicated. I'm wondering if they are a gimmick and not that useful. The ta-da series 1 looks good but the adjustable type is £165ish which is a lot to spend if it's no good.

Thanks for any help.

They were popular for a while. I know of one farmer who enjoys a little country walking now and he uses one. Very tricky to balance on paving

I think the popularity has waned because they aren't so good in town or for shopping so have been overtaken by the two handled walker with seat and space for shopping under.

Presumably you buy it online, test it at home and send it back for a refund, possibly other than postage, if it's not suitable.

There are plenty of options out there, the challenge may be finding one thats the right height when folded and unfolded. https://www.walkingsticks.co.uk/black-crutch-handle-folding-tripod-walking-seat-stick.html seems fairly high as a seat but as one of the reviewers says, they find it too tall when used as a walking stick.

An adjustable one would possibly fix it but firstly its going to be more of a faff to adjust it each transformation and would question how robust the adjustment points are. Probably the reality is that the solution is compromised as both a stick and a seat by trying to do both jobs with one thing
