Unless Lowell produce some proof, there ever was a CCJ, how do you know there was?

I too would say do not not pay it. If there ever was a CCJ, Lowell will have to go to court to enforce it and that is very very rare.

Section 5, of the limitation act deals with statute barred debt.

Section 24, of the limitation act, below, deals with the expiry period for CCJ`s:

"Section 24 of the Limitation Act 1980 states that an action shall not be brought upon any judgment after the expiration of six years from the date on which the judgment became enforceable . This means that if a judgment is not enforced within this time frame, the right to take action on it is lost".

So essentially this debt is dead in the water, regardless of what Lowell may tell you.

Stepchange will always want you to add all your debts to a DMP, its the way they operate, just politely say no as its now unenforceable.
