  • Sounds like you are doing well.

Things are going ok for me thank you just taking small steps but with each payment off my credit cards I feel like a small weight is coming off my shoulders.

Credit cards are horrible! Nasty! They would go away faster without the interest, my store card is a pain but in a few months i'm due a decent bonus to should be able to half it and hopefully have it paid by July!!! 6 months early..woohoo!! I was planning to go America but decided paying this off is more important. America will still be there in a few years....

    Hey...

I've worked in a dept dealing with just c cards, the best thing to do is pay as much as you can, it's great your on a low rate, makes it easier for you.
If you can always pay more that the min, this will reduce your bal the quickest

  • Thanks nic01

Im also new to this site and it is defintely time to pay this debt off. Im sick of being in debt.

So if I have say a spare tenner one week just pay that to my card immedietly rather than trying to save it up?
  • Hiya, well done for sorting things out. As Iv said, im in my thirties, and only just realised I need to do something after5 or so years of struggling. Spreadsheets are a good isea, but if you are like me, you wont want to look at it!!! I have put notes on the calendar that is on my mobile phone, one for every bill that is going out, and a little reminder goes off a couple of days before. This might seem pointless, but so many bills go out, that it helps to be reminded and to make sure I have enough money in my account each time. The last thing I want when I am debt free is to have a bad credit rating.
    GOOD LUCK!

Good for you nic01, remember to save first for your future purchases instead of going back into debt.

    Thanks everyone!

To little miss troubled, yeah the sooner you pay money to your card the less interest your prev purchases incur. Anything that is more than the min will defo help
