Good morning

It's a lovely morning though not got the hot temperatures of other places. Still, no rain forecast.
I went to the wee cafe yesterday intending to buy a buttery and come home, somehow I was persuaded to have their sausage taco with spicy sauce for sit-in breakfast! It was really tasty though enormous - two tacos filled up and topped with a fried egg each. I brought one home for lunch today.
This morning I'm going up to the big town for an appointment with the hairy chin woman, we're winning the battle despite it being quite long. I'll do a little light shopping when there and, when home sort out the weekly banking.
Take care all - I hope that the sun shines everywhere and we can all shake off the final signs of winter. I've put away my thick tights, no socks and am even down to one vest and sweatshirt this morning - something I may regret later. 😀

Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's a lovely morning here, yesterday was nice too.
I went to Do*bies yesterday, it's our nearest garden centre and easy to get to.I ordered compost and bedding plants and they'll be delivered today, so I'll start putting them in straight away. I won't get it all done today, but at least I can get a start.
Hope you'll soon feel better YL.
Dh has a heavy cold, I think he's had a bad night. He's asleep at the moment. I'll go upstairs in a bit to see how he is.
Hope everyone is all right and has good days, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. My bedroom gets the morning sun so I was a bit warm in bed when i woke up. Fortunately it means the bedroom is quite cool in the evening whilst the back has got the sun for the rest of the day.
It's forecast to be even hotter today so I don't think there will be much sitting out reading getting done. Yesterday it was like a spa day for the birds! They were taking it in turns either splashing around or drinking from the bird bath. It was lovely to watch them. I shall fill it up again this morning in readiness for them arriving!
DS is coming at some point today to cut the front hedge as it's suddenly gone rampant. A fence would be so much easier but the hedge has grown so thick over the years it would take some cutting back. Plus whoever planted the hedge before we came left the original wire fence in situ so the hedge has grown all around it, which would make it even harder to cut back!
There won't be much cooking getting done today so it will be a salad day for me I think. Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need or want of them.. YL I'm pleased you now seem to have shaken off the lurgy. x

Good morning
Bright and sunny again, forecast to be over 32 degrees. Yesterday was very hot, too hot to sit out, today will be the same. DH popped to Aldee yesterday and said there was no salad to be had, luckily he only went for a top up of bread and juice.
Last night we had kievs and salad, tonight will be something else with salad.
Nothing else to report, have a good day all, take care.

Morning all
22 deg already this morning, today is going to be the hottest one so far, we got the fans out of the loft yesterday and set them up for the dogs in the lounge they just kept coming in and flopping in front of them, I too have bird baths which I am keeping topped up and the birds keep flying down to my pond (sheep trough) for a drink it’s lovely to see.
Thanks for all the good wishes re DD’s house it’s very exciting, my mum gave her a new mattress protector and summer quilt yesterday that she had at home for a while they are currently on the line airing, there are still a few things she will need but we will get there.
Bbq for dinner again tonight we have a few bits left from last night to use up and there are some chicken thighs and a couple of pork chops so it will be an easy prep as salads and new potatoes are already done.
We cycled 9 miles yesterday mostly through the woods which was lovely and cool, we stopped at the top of a hill overlooking the downs and I had a small bottle of Prosecco and OH had a cider it was really lovely, we might do the same today.
YL I’m glad you are feeling better xx
Remmie I’m glad you seem to be healing well xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Yup another scorcher today. Watered the garden, done some ironing, descaled the kettle. I'm on strike for the rest of the day now! Until dinner time anyway :-)
Have a good day and keep cool everyone xx

Morning all, thanks @Gers.
It's already hot out and set to get up to 32 deg later on. Not complaining though, we've been waiting a long time for this! And it's so nice to be wearing summer clothes again instead of being muffled up to the eyeballs. 😁
I watered the hanging baskets first thing and am halfway through cleaning the outside of the living room windows - not quite the rush to get them done as the kitchen one yesterday since the sun doesn't get around to there until later in the afternoon. During the winter I complain about the living room feeling like the coldest room in the house but it's a godsend when we have hot weather.
Once I've finished the windows I'll won't be doing much else (weeding postponed until a cooler day) and am looking forward to sitting out with a book. There's plenty of water cooling in the fridge and it's salad for tea so it's a relatively lazy day for me. 😁
Have a good day all but please remember the slip/slap/slop routine routine if you're out and about and stay hydrated. Take care. xx

It’s hot in Worcestershire- that’s all I’ll say.
Been trying to do a bit of planting pots and baskets each morning with Mum which basically consists of me prepping everything and clearing away afterwards and her popping the plants in!
Might try and do some craft stuff this afternoon, yesterday my head was too hot and tired to think!

Afternoon everyone,
I thought I posted this morning, but must have got sidetracked!
Like most of you, it is warm here, so I did a few little pottering jobs this morning, namely tidying up the kitchen and sitting room. Now, I will be settling down to watch the football on tv.
Tea tonight will be a ploughman’s, so nice and easy.
Take care all.8
