THE SUN SO CALLED £9.50 DEALS
I made the mistake of collecting the vouchers in the sun newspaper. Went to do my booking, booked october so out of season as it was the only weekend available. I really wish i had not booked it! It did not include any entertainment passes or swimming pool and to add them it was another £45. Out of curiosity I checked the parkdean resort direct and it worked out a lot cheap including passes! Sorry to be harsh but this is another 'not a scam' post. Yes it's potentially not as good as bargain as the headline sugegsts, but the information was all there about what it included.
OP did you read all the information before collecting vouchers and booking? I did these holidays 25 years or so ago, even then there were a lot of extras, including bedding and passes etc, some worked out cheaper booking through the Sun and some were better booking direct, like a lot of people I compared it all before I committed to buy.
Unfortunately it always pays to read past the headlines, and actually work out what you were booking.

It always pays to read the small print when you see these "too good to miss" offers.

Was there a reason you thought the entertainment passes and pool access were included?
The FAQs give relevant info
"Some parks make optional charges for passes which may be required for
access to facilities such as swimming pools, bars, restaurants, shows
and kids clubs. Where applicable, this will be charged to you by your
park when your booking is confirmed. See each park listing for specific
charges."Not a scam.

certainly not a scam. Yes the T&C state you may need to extras but whenever I have used this offer the holiday has still been considerably cheaper than booking direct without vouchers

I know several people who use the scheme to get cheap, basic accommodation in order to visit an area of the country they don't know. They take their own bedding and basic supplies (tea, coffee, etc.) and go out and about about during the day sightseeing, walking, eating, and often buying food to cook in their accomodation or having a takeaway and spemd the evenings relaxing with their own streamed music or reading. Sounds good to me.

My stays were years and years ago but that's what we did. Got one one year when the children were very small near a smaller theme park, slept in the chalet and just used it as a base to go to the theme park, stately homes and to the coast another day. We didn't need evening entertainment or the pool and we got a short break which we'd not be able to afford otherwise.
