Good morning all, thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons. It's very misty and damp here, just the same as yesterday and the day before that.
My BP appointment was good yesterday, taken off one of the two meds with more hope for the future. All blood results excellent so I left happy. The later appointment with my lovely GP was also great. And I heard from the hospital about my kidney procedure - the laser needed for the op was out of action for six weeks and is now fully functioning again so I'll be scheduled in for July when I return. A good day all round.
The defrosted Tom Kerridge pork and mushroom stroganoff was delicious, even half the portion was more than plenty, so I'll be looking out for that again.
Today is quiet until the afternoon when I'm doing my second last session of invigilation - think it's physics today so even reading the paper will be a challenge for me. For now it's a second cup of coffee and read of the online news.
Take care all - hugs all round.

Good Morning,
I have been reading along, but haven’t posted as I really haven’t had much to talk about!
Today, I will be visiting with my neighbour for a chat, supposed to have gone for a walk but I took a tumble yesterday while attempting to do a fitness squat so am a bit sore. It has made me all the more determined to work on my balance and fitness. This afternoon I will be visiting mum in her nursing home. This evening I need to work on my online grocery order. I am trying to be more mindful of the cheaper options when shopping as when I was ill I relied a lot on more convenience products.
It is nice to be back. Take care.

Morning all
It’s meant to be a bright sunny day although it’s a bit overcast here atm, I have a load of washing in the wm and another to go in after they should dry well today.
I cleaned all the woodwork in the hallway up the stairs and on the landing yesterday I must say it looks so much better now, I might do some more later.
Yesterday I managed to get a free microwave from my friend for dd so I need to go and pick it up today, I also got her a fridge freezer second hand but looks new which is being delivered Saturday, the fridge is my moving in present from me, I also found a bed brand new, the chap ordered one and got sent two so is selling one off very cheap, I need to measure my car to see if it will fit and if so we will collect over the weekend, she will need to order a mattress but we can do that nearer to moving day. We also have to find somewhere to store it here but we will manage, the things were too good to miss.
Dinner tonight will be creamy garlic chicken with rice or pasta, I also have a click and collect shop to pick up later after I have walked the dogs.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Happy Days GERS, everything dealt with and sorted. Nice to see you again PEONY, most of us waffle on about nothing so don't be a stranger!
I have a busy day in store. Hairdresser coming at 9.00, especially for me as I missed her last week when she did the rest of our little group. Then I'm meeting DF for lunch and youngest DGD has just invited herself for tea after school so she will probably be up on the same bus as me! She has been doing her O-levels so no doubt she will be telling me a tale of woe about all the exams! As long as she has done her best, it's all you can ask for.
A bit late to the party but yesterday I finally went on one of the new electric buses that run all along the valley. I only went as far as the next little town along and got the bits of shopping I needed there.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. In case you don't get on tomorrow IZZY, have a lovely holiday. Take care all, be safe x

Good morning
It's a bright and sunny start, temperatures are on the up.
I splashed out yesterday and bought an electric pressure cooker. Never used one before, so will be reading the instructions prior to trying it out. If anyone has one, any tips? Other than that, nothing else planned for today.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning again,it doesn't seem to be a bad morning, it's dry now, it was raining when I first posted.
Hello Peony, hope you're ok. As TA says, don't worry about having not much to say, I can natter on forever without saying much!
Glad the medical things went well Gers.
You're doing well getting household things for your Dd Ruby, a true money saver.
Have a nice day TA.
Enjoy your hols Izzy.
Hope you get on all right with your pressure cooker Remmie, I've only had stove top ones.
Have a good day everyone, take care.

Just delurking to say that you might find this thread useful @remmie
I have had an electric pressure cooker for a few years and it’s brilliant in my view. I cook pulses and freeze them, make soup and stews in the winter, it’s great for cooking meat and making it tender. You can even boil eggs in it, although I don’t bother! I don’t bother using it for rice either, but I have used the yoghurt setting.
I don’t post, but I do enjoy reading about everyone’s daily lives on this thread so thank you to all those who contribute.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. Kindness in another’s trouble, courage in your own.11 -
Morning all,Seems dry atm.
Izzy have a lovely holiday.
My oldest friend rang yesterday after getting back from their Greek island cruise, sounds like they saw some lovely places. I'll ring her again after the bank hol as a busy weekend is coming up.
We had a nice walk yesterday, near where DS2 is working , although we got lost & didn't end up where we thought we would! We called to see DS after so DH could give him some advice, Ldog was delighted to see him.A lady came over when we were outside the house to talk dogs @remmie, she loved him. You're right they are a good conversation starter - think I've spoken to more people since we got him than I have done in years!
We had a kind of tapas meal for tea for a change last night, pork stir fry later.
The back garden is looking good atm, and I'm happy the clematis flowers have survived the heavy rain.
Sounds like DD is getting sorted with her appliances for her new house @RedRuby1231
Take care all
