Can anyone suggest where I can buy a replacement basket for a chip pan?

    Markets. The sort where everybody's an individual stallholder.
    Look out for the cookware stalls.

    Also - any large local DIY shop if it is big enough to also have a cookware department. They tend to have odds/sods type of things.
